We had to put our beloved dachshund down because he had a brain tumor. We have used Haines Rd for years and were very satisfied but when we took our Henry in for his last time we were amazed with the wonderful treatment we all received. They led us into a private dimly lit room with a gurgling water feature and a sofa. I held my dog in my arms throughout the entire process; he was so tired from his illness he never lifted his head. They gave him sedation and he snored peacefully. When they injected the final shot he breathed deeply and was gone. We were led out a private door when we were ready to leave him. There was no rush. The next day we received a card and a bouquet in sympathy for our loss. For such a difficult transition, they made it as manageable as one could hope. Thank you.
This is an excellent facility and staff. Contrary to other reviewers, I do not find these folks at all interested in jacking up the fees. In fact, my experience was just the opposite. Dr. Buckner tried to save us money, while also doing the best for our dog, who was seriously ill. They are prompt, efficient, knowledgeable and caring. Dr. Buckner seems like a very up-to-date professional, but also very warm. I highly recommend this facility.
Great animal hospital! We called several Vets in the St Petersburg area because our Vet in the Old Northeast was unreasonably expensive for a dental cleaning. Haines Road Animal Hospital was 1/3rd of our Vets price and they were amazing. Suffice to say, they are now are new Vet. Thankyou for taking such good care of our dog!
Dr. Griffin is terrific. She has doctored my old, sick cat (with 2-3 serious issues) back to her current good health. Dr. Griffin is intelligent, caring, knowledgeable and always pleasant. She also seeks 2nd opinions when appropriate. Very pleased to have her in my cat's corner.
i agree with those that said," its all about money." they will try and ached. your dog to come in every 3-4 months for shots. when i asked to get them all at one time, they said it would not be healthy for dog to get overlapping meds just to try and get them all at once. so i just held her until all were due. now they give annual bordetella dose to cover 365 days, only dose they sell. but they tell my doggy daycare it should be given every 6 mo. now my daycare wants her to have it every 6 mo. so i ask vet about double dosing, they said its ok with this drug to give twice as much as needed. really??!!!! Pigs get fat......hogs get slaughtered. they are being very hoggish. customers will catch on and put a stop to it or go somewhere else. thats me......taking my business elsewhere.
