I moved here from Indiana a few years back, and where I come from, we don't have fleas like Florida does. Now, I have to admit, after looking at these Google reviews of Dr. Mills from a few years back, I was definitely skeptical. However, since I wanted my pup seen that day, and after calls to many places, Dr. Mills was the only one who would sacrifice his time to see my Akita, Goku. Whatever problems those earlier posts had with Dr. Mills seemed ancient to me. Dr. Mills was caring with me, and very adamant about thorough inspections. He presented me with all the information from his exam and also each issue he wanted to correct in some fashion or another. It was visible he simply cared to make sure my boy was in good shape other than his fleas. He ended up also finding that my dogs ears were majorly dirty from not being looked at in about 8 months or so. He literally had me look to see what he was seeing, and also how to clean them properly. The fact that he cared to be efficient made him worth every penny. Now the best part was, I couldn't afford to get him the ear medicine at the time, he allowed me to wait to have anything done with Goku's ears until my next paycheck. The way I equate Dr. Mills over the competing Pet Smarts and the rest of the cookie-cutter places, is like buying a car for your family. If you're looking to purchase a four-door car, your preference will always lead to a BMW over a Ford Focus. You do this because you expect the BMW to be of better quality and to have a more personal customer service. We also all know that it costs more to have this assurance and peace of mind, but if you can afford it, the choice will be the BMW every single time. Trust me, Dr. Mills is where you want to take your pets. I've already seen more than one client leave to go somewhere else, but end up returning because there really isn't anyone else as thorough. He's the one you want.
I have been going here since my dog was a puppy, and that was the best descision I have made. My dog started outon the right foot and started his life out healthy. Dr Mills recomended food, care, vaccines, and also flea and heartworm preventative that would keep my puppy healthy and happy. Leo is a corgi, so any extra weight can put significant amounts of strain on his back. 2 years ago, he was getting overweight and thanks to Dr.Mills, and the diet he recommeded, Leo is now back to a healthy weight and does not carry any extra weight. The office is also kept very clean and neat. I have also trusted Dr. Mills and the staff with my dog when I went on vacation. They took very good care of him and he got a lot of play time with other dogs that were bording in the huge fenced in yard next to the clinic. The staff and the doctor himself were very welcoming and nice when I first went there, and they treat their clients like family.
Pasadena Veterinary Hospital and Laser Center is a small, family animal clinic with a whole team of people who are more than willing to do all things possible for your pet. As a volunteer, I have Dr. Frank Mills II, the veterinarian, along with his employees doing what is asked of them and beyond to treat and cure one's furry companions. If you're looking for an animal clinic that has a team who puts their clients before anything else; provides state of the art medication, treats, and food; and gives the client satisfaction that this isn't just some old geezer's gig then Pasadena Veterinary Hospital & Laser Center is the place for you!
Dr. Mills and his staff offer an excellent service. The office is comfortable and inviting. I felt the staff honestly care about me and my animals. I feel comfortable not only with his veterinary care but also in leaving my animal for boarding. I recommend this veterinary hospital to anyone in need of veterinary service or boarding.
I TOTALLY agree with "about the clinic" below about everything they said. I cannot tell you how many $$$$ we spent on our animals at this place. Every time we took an animal there, a new illness magically appeared, for which treatment must ensue and supplies must be purchased. One of our animals who underwent treatment after treatment for an illness that was probably going to kill her is still alive and kickin' 3 years later, The prices are outrageous. We have found quality care at MUCH affordable prices elsewhere. Live and learn........
