I took my English Bulldog to this vet on 12/12/2014, which was a Friday. The vet that we saw is a "stand in." His name is Dr. Povis. The treatment that we received was awesome from the vet tech's to the vet himself. The MOST impressive thing is that on Saturday Dr. Povis called me at home to check on my pet and then told me that if his condition got worse to call him at home. AMAZING!!!! I wouldn't take my pets anyplace else!

Not A Friend To The Animal Community - I have been taking my dogs to them since late 2013. My living situations had changed and I was having a hard time finding a place I could get into with the dogs. One dog I have had since he was a puppy and the other is a rescue I have had for 4 years that was saved from a terrible puppy mill. Rather than just give them up to the SPCA, where they would become someone else's problem, I did everything I could to make sure they were taken care of. This involved monthly injections for one dog that has Addison's and repeated boarding for them since I was staying somewhere for a week at a time, on multiple occasions, where pets weren't allowed. Over a few months. I went through my entire savings with them - over $3000 - for taking care of the dogs. While I don't expect them to provide services for free, I did come to a point where I explained the entire situation to them and needed them to tell me if anything they would do for the dogs would be expensive or just unexpectedly high. They said they would, but continued to overcharge me and run unnecessary tests. The monthly injection was over $70 alone, which is twice what my previous vet up in Pasco was charging. Unfortunately, it became clear that once they realized I was willing to continue to pay in order to make sure these dogs didn't become another homeless animal, they took advantage of the situation. I waited a while to write this review, so I wouldn't post it while I was upset, but over time my feelings have not changed. I begged them to not take advantage of someone who is just trying to take care of 2 dogs - one of which is a rescue - and they made the decision that money was more important. Please consider another vet that puts the entire animal community ahead of their own pocketbook. Finally, to be fair, I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the actual services provided seemed to be done well, and the boarders were friendly with the dogs. However, there are many vets out there that provide the same level of service and still take part in the animal community as a whole.

Just great. These folks are the real thing. No boutique practice here, just solid, loving care at a fair price. Our dogs love to go there. Seriously. They pull us inside.

The staff was super friendly and did a great job keeping my somewhat anxious dog calm. Their price was fair and their hours are convenient for a working single mom.

Awful. Tried for 2 weeks to get heart worm medication from them and was met with new excuses every visit. Wrong paper, no signature, data doesn't match with the computer, well so and so said..., you need to go do this now. My dog has been heart worm negative for more than half a year and Skyway still doesn't or won't sell me heart worm medication. Took my dog to another random clinic and was out within the hour.
