Run don't walk away from this horrible facility. Someone threw a kitten over my fence at Christians and I rushed her to this nearest vet. They wanted $1.200.00 for treatment and a 3 day "hospital stay." They demanded all or half down. I gave them $600.00. When I called to check on her 4 hours later they told me I had to come pick her up as they had no overnight facility, told me to transfer her to another city to an overnight facility, pick her up "before 8AM" in the other city and then bring her back to Noah's. They expected me to do this for the duration of her treatment. NEVER was this EVER explained when I signed the treatment plan and paid for "hospitalization." Thank God my daughter who works for the Humane Society was with me or I doubt anyone in their right mind would even believe my story. I picked her up and brought her to another facially that provides overnight care where she is recovering. Like a fool I thought since Kitty was only at Noah's Place for 4 hours that I would receive a reimbursement on my $600.00. I was wrong. They demanded $60.00 more from me so I am in the hole for $700.00. Since this I have read the awful reviews this place gets. They deserve them %100.
My dog and best fried Bob the Catahoula was attacked by a runaway Pitbull on Tuesday. I took Bob in right away to get treated - he was in bad shape. They treated me with kindness and were good to Bob. His injuries were severe and needed special care. They went the extra mile during this (still going on) and I am very glad I am taking Bob here. Yes, it was expensive - but so are ALL Vets - my problem is the irresponsible Pitbull owner who wont pay all of the bill because it is "Christmas" and they have no money even though their unleashed Pitbull attacked my poor Bob while he was leashed. Guess they think they are special or something. --Thank you to Dawn, Yolanda, David and Dr. Dorman. ( :
I give this hospital one star for being open when I needed it. -Period. Coming to North St. Pete I expected excellence from such a promising building & location. The staff charged too much and missed numerous opportunities to help with my cat's dental issues. Bills were always high & care negligent. I will just say that my cats had broken teeth and oral care issues that weren't addressed in my three years of "checkups" and well funded extra care. The hospital was paid over $1000 to fix these problems with earlier "cleanings". I often wonder if care was even given before the cash was extracted. Oh, and I went on vacation too and asked for oral care another time. -to get a routine cleaning during my time away. Fail! Poor results and another $800+ bill. Bills are very high compared to my newer vets. My neighbor independently had this same issue with bad care and cash extraction. Yet more residents had this same problem when comparing notes. When my cat almost died from missed oral care I would like to share this with Noah's==> My STRONG negative testimonial. 60 or so feedback ratings later I see this isn't my opinion alone. If you are Noah's, maybe you can turn the corner and get real customers to be your champions after reform. If you are the next new resident to the area, don't be a sucker. Potential customers-- Do your own research and beware!
Do not trust the well being of your family pets with the incompetent vets at Noah's or you will regret it. Our cat would've died had we not questioned their lazy diagnosis and gotten a second opinion quickly. This is what happened... Overnight our cat became very lethargic and had stopped eating. Unfortunately our regular vet isn't open on Sundays so we took him to Noah's (because of their great hours) for bloodwork and urinalysis. During the exam they said his stomach was extremely distended but they didn't know why (nor did they attempt to figure it out). They called on Monday to tell us that he had stage 3 kidney disease but didn't have the urinalysis results yet to know how to treat him... however they had us come in to give him a fluid injection and meds that should make him want to eat. His distended stomach was chalked up to his kidney issues. None of the meds worked and he became so restless... we even found him hiding under the couch later that night, as if he knew he was dying. After doing a lot of research online I doubted that this was all because of his kidneys as it had come on so quickly, so I took him to our regular vet Tuesday morning. Within 2 minutes of a regular exam my vet said his bladder was so inflamed and he clearly had a blockage in his urethra which was preventing him from urinating and likely caused him to stop eating/drinking. She called Noah's and got the urinalysis results which had come in that morning, and then told us that if he didn't have surgery immediately to remove the blockage he would've died within 24 hours. Thankfully, he is coming home today after a successful surgery and fantastic care from the vets at Old Northeast Animal Hospital. Moments ago, my husband received a call from the vet at Noah's and was told that she had the urinalysis results in... 2 DAYS AFTER SHE ACTUALLY RECEIVED THEM!! My husband told her what had happened to our cat and her response was "ohhh... well that makes sense... that's likely what was causing his kidney levels to be so high". No apology, just basically admitting her incompetence after the fact. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but felt compelled to share our experience.
Our experience here (under the circumstances) was AMAZING! The Dr. & staff were so understanding & compassionate. One of our very hardest decisions was made Saturday Sept 13th 2014. It was time for our 14 year old bestfriend Drizzit to cross the rainbow bridge. They had a very nice room that we were immediately taken to. (Which was really great because we were noticibly a mess) resolute room was nice. No metal tables just a couch & some nice decor & soft music...very relaxing. (As much as it could be anyway) They explained exactly what would happen, gave us some options on how we wanted to go about his remains & the shot & they let us take our time with choosing our option. Once we made our decision was made we were not rushed & told to take as much time as we needed. Again the Dr & staff were more then amazing. We held our baby told him We loved him him & cuddled on him until we were able to pull ourselves together enough to leave. It has now been a week & I went to check the mail box & to my suprise I received the most wonderful card from them signed by all of the staff. That made our day! It was really nice & appreciated. They made one of the hardest things we've had to do just a little bit easier for us & it is greatly appreciated & will be cherished by our family forever. We love the urn & paw print we received. It was a lot more beautiful then we expected when we picked then up Thank you so so much from the bottom of our hearts. ❤ Kelly (Drizzit's Mom) & our Family. (:
