This is difficult for me to write as I recently lost my "Buddy" of almost 18 years. I was 800 miles from home working as a seasonal nurse in Cape Coral when his chronic renal failure became acute and he suffered 2 severe seizures. I wanted to make it home to NC but he was suffering too much. I was on I-75 traveling North and pulled off the ramp at Sarasota to find a vet. I knew what I had to do and quickly "googled" vet. The closest vet was one by the name of Best Friends. I was completely broken as I carried his little bed from the car seat into the building. This was one of the most difficult things I had to do but the entire staff helped to support me. I had to say good-bye to my little buddy and mange to take his little body back to NC to be buried next to his mate. I have never felt such compassion, kindness and support as from these blessed people. They were such support in this time of grief.

I brought our Siberian Husky to Best Friends a few months after we moved to Sarasota. I had brought her to another Vet in Sarasota but was highly dissatisfied, a terrible experience from start to finish. Our dog has been going to Best Friends for almost a year now. The staff at Best Friends are friendly, caring and efficient! Our Husky is no young dog, they have been very patient and kind. Everyone you come in contact with, whether by phone or at the office is wonderful. The Vets are competent and take the time to listen to my concerns and they explain everything you need to know about your pets health. I highly recommend Best Friends Animal Hospital. I have complete confidence in their ability to care for our very loved Husky.

Dr Clarkson was kind enough to care for our golden retriever today and we were totally impressed. Her staff is welcoming, Dr. Clarkson calmly explained Duke's situation, administered the appropriate tests and treated appropriately.
