I absolutely love this place. I have been taking my pets to Dr. Rumore for 7-8 years now, and I always feel great about the care my dogs receive. I would agree that most “vet offices” are expensive; I have never left a vet office and thought, “Man that was cheap!” ;however, the compassion and knowledge the staff at Lake Seminole offers, is worth much, MUCH more than you will ever pay. I feel like they care about my babies as much as I do. My best friend brings her two cats here, my mom brings her 5 cats here, and I have numerous clients that swear by them….do yourself a favor and go! :)

I have been taking my dogs and cat to Lake Seminole Animal Hospital for about 9 years. My most important criteria when selecting a vet is expertise. Dr. Rumore & Dr. Britton are brilliant doctors who have handled some very serious health problems between my 5 pets. The next criteria is patient comfort. It matters to me that my pets are not scared in the office. The staff has always put my pets at ease. They know what they're doing, and have always handled my pets appropriately (even the tough ones). My third criteria is that I can get sound advice on behavior issues, diet, exercise, and training. Dr. Rumore works with animal rescue groups and shelters, so he has a lot of experience to draw from when I'm having an issue with one of my rescues. I just had our crazy young chocolate lab in the office last week, and he got nothing but positive reinforcement for desired behavior, and his poor manners were handled patiently. He's been seeing Dr. Rumore for a year now, and when my dog heard the doctor in another room, he stood straight up and perked his ears. He stared at the door until the doctor arrived. Cost is important, but I've yet to find an inexpensive vet. Services and medicine are costly. Dr. Rumore and the staff are respectful of our budget.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rumore six years ago. He brought my llasa Apso, Shania, back from the brink of death. We moved up to Largo after that and started going to vets closer to home. When our poodle mix got sick a month ago, we were not happy with the local vets. It was well worth the extra miles. Reba had an infected uterus that was close to bursting. (Pyometra). Once again Dr Rumore save one of my pets. The doctor and his staff are very caring and skillful professionals It's hard to put a price on your pet, but we are retired and have to work within a certain budget. The staff were able to help us work things out and I feel like Reba was treated like royalty. I can't speak highly enough of Lake Seminole Animal Hospital.

I have been there a couple times. The staff is pleasant and they are open bufore and after I go to work. They did prescribe me som Rx for my dog and I filled those at Publix where the antibiotic was free. They actually recommended me go to Publix to get them filled. The Vet is a great guy and my dog loves going there. As for price, I don't know because my dog is a rescue dog and the rescue organization is paying his vet bills until he is heartworm free. So I honestly can't say how expensive they are, but I really like them and plan on keeping them as my vet even when I have to start footing the bill. I really haven't been to other Vets so I cannot compare how Lake Seminole is vs. the Tampa vet someone else mentioned, but for me, I like these guys and will continue to go there.

This is the worst vet I've been to. They seem only concerned about profit. They overcharge for services compared to most vets, and want to do every test that isn't necessary. Same with SK, they wouldn't auth an online purchase...and same false speech about being just as cheap as online. These other 5 star reviews sound fake. Sorry, no stars. We drive an hour to the Tampa Dale Mabry vet - best around.
