On the night of January 8th we rushed our precious yellow lab Daisy to Northwood Animal Hospital after she had been treated a few days earlier by our regular vet for what we thought was some sort of obstruction in her stomach. When we got Daisy there she was very lethargic and we were very scared. Immediately after arriving we knew we had done the right thing. Everyone there is so helpful and sincerely cares about your furry friend! From the assistants to the vets everyone was professional and simply top notch! I firmly believe that they saved our Daisy's life. Its been a week and she is 100% better! A very special thank you to Dr, Morgan Guoan who took such exceptional care of Daisy not only did she call every 6 hours to give us an update (since she had to spend 2 nights there) she called a week later to check on our pet! THANK YOU!

Had an emergency on New Years Day, within 20 minutes of my arriving Dr. J Smith diagnosed exactly what was wrong and had him prepped for surgery. Dr. Smith, Dr. Cavell and the amazing staff took great care of my little furry BFF and called me everyday like clockwork to update me on his progress and answer every single question I had no matter how many times I had asked the question before. I'm so happy with the care he received and the great staff we are going to become regular patients. :)

I have been using Northwood Animal Hospital since 2007, when my husband and I moved to Tallahassee with our three labs. I cannot say enough about Northwood. The caring staff, the highly competent doctors and the level of care has been over and above what I was expecting. Now that I have another lab, I am using Northwood again and have no hesitation referring anyone to them for any and all of their veterinary needs.

Over and over again I am left with the impression that Northwood sincerely cares about each animal and owner. In summary Northwood is an amazing vet. Years ago they saved one of my dogs. Recently, another older dog, had complex problems and Northwood understood I was on a budget, yet provided incredible care. Through the whole process, I just felt that each person treated me and my animal with a lot of dignity and compassion. This matters a lot to me in a vet. Their science is of course is top notch. For as long as I live in Tallahassee, I will always take my animals to Northwood. FYI, they do a lot of incredibly charity work! We donate as much stuff as we can to support their philanthropic efforts.

I had a bad experience with Northwood Animal Hospital. I had previously been a fan and had recommended it to many people, especially because of their outreach efforts in the community. However, when I was out of the country recently, my neighbor unfortunately decided to take my dog there after he ate part of a toy. It was just after hours on a Friday, and they said they needed to keep him, which they did for 3 nights. The bill was $1,000 without surgery or medicine. When I returned to the country, I called and left repeated messages for the manager to discuss the bill. She never returned my call. When I went in person, several of the employees were very nice, but the one person who assisted me was not very helpful. I again reiterated that I would like a returned phone call from the office manager. It has been over a week, and I still have not received a call. I work a lot in the animal rescue and shelter community and I have fostered hundreds of animals, so I have dealt with many different veterinary clinics. Based on the lack of customer service and inflated pricing on the bill, I would never return to Northwood Animal Hospital.
