I am very disappointed of this place. This morning at 6:52 am, I brought in my 13 year old Cocker Spaniel who woke up very disoriented, throwing up, his head was tilted to one side, he was falling to the sides and could barely walk straight. I was cover in tears because I didn't know what was going on with him. The receptionist ask me how she could help, with my broken voice I explain to her was was going on with my dog. She didn't even look at him. She said that they were closing in one hour and she had a lot of paperwork to fill out, that if I wanted to wait, it was ok, but that there was nothing else she could do. She advise me to take my dog to another emergency center or to wait until my regular vet opened its office. There was only one more person there that she was helping at the time. This place is supposed to be an emergency service location, and it was still open for another hour and 10 min. I think it was very rude of the receptionist to just sent me off like that, with my dog in my arms and crying myself out. I thought that people that work there were very compassionate about animals, it was not like I came in 5 min before closing. Never going back to that place if they don't reevaluate their staff and find people that are passionate about what they do and not waiting to go home after a long shift.

The doctors and staff here saved my dog's life. I took her in because she was not acting herself and seemed to have a fever, shake a lot, and not eat. I thought maybe she ate an object. But the doctors knew right away what to check and right off the bat guess Pyometra, which is what it was. They are expensive, however they are willing to work with you the best they can. My dog stayed over night a few nights and I was able to visit her anytime I wanted during their hours of operation, and could also call to check on her. I thought I might get annoying, but they did not mind at all. I really can not thank them enough. They are very knowledgeable and know to check for everything.

Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Services is by far the best veterinary clinic I have ever experienced! I consider my dog, Max, my child and he means the world to me. Unfortunately, an accident occurred resulting in a bowel obstruction due to a foreign object. After having surgery at another facility, complications ensued and he became very ill. We rushed him to TBVES, where Dr. Michelle Lentovich and her staff assessed Max. He was in septic DIC, which has an exceptionally low survival rate even in human patients. I was basically a complete mess and the staff was incredibly compassionate. Dr. Lentovich went over the options with me, but never gave up hope. Not only did she stay hours past the end of her shift to finish Max’s surgery, but she also saved his life. His chances of survival were still going to be questionable over the next several weeks. Max had a feeding tube, JP drains, a central line, and many different medications. Dr. Lentovich allowed Max to live there 24/7 so he could be continuously monitored by the staff. She would come in on her off days and off hours just to see how he doing and also cooked him food from her own kitchen to see if that would help him eat. Her daughters also created art for max’s IV wrapping! I was there for hours each day spending time with Max while he recovered and the entire staff at TBVES was amazing! They all genuinely cared about how he and I were doing! To top it all off, Dr. Lentovich and Dr. Kathy Meyer, the veterinary director, helped me tremendously by finding a charity fund to assist in offsetting a substantial portion of the extensive veterinary costs due to his complicated and long treatment. I can never repay them for saving Max’s life and the kindness they showed me. Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Services is the only place I would take Max! They are amazing!!!!

The absolute worst place on earth!! We had been to 3 vets paying all sorts of money for tests and found out it's a pyometra..she needs emergency surgery and we are down to $200 until we get paid next week,they told us to bring her in and we would be billed for the amount we didn't have on the1500$ surgery...we drove to tampa from Seminole fl and had the door literally closed in our face when they asked for the money up front...after they told us to bring her in and we would be billed...they were rude and extremely rough with my dog who is literally crying in pain from the pyometra...not to mention the sloppy attire the so called vet that looked like an overweight drug addict was wearing...its disgusting please do not bring your pets to these heartless monsters

Thank God for this clinic.I can't help but wonder if these negative comments are from their competition because I loved my doc and the staff here. Dr. Lentovich was so sweet & compassionate to my cat. She seems very smart and was super thorough and knowledgeable - she saved my cat's life and that is something I can never thank her for enough. She was very professional but her love for animals was at the forefront. I am shocked by people who think they don't need to pay for veterinary care - I mean, would you go to a human doctor and haggle or tell them you're not going to pay?!?!? For me, I loved my cat enough to take out another credit card and I would do it again in a heartbeat.
