WAY overpriced and they tend to add things that you probably don't need. I have switched vets after going to Tampa Vet Hospital since 1986. Dr. Avery and Dr. Chambliss were much more reasonable with their prices.

I have taken my pets to Tampa Vet now since a recommendation from a great friend in 2008 and have ceased to be disappointed with the ever lasting professionalism and kindness of the staff and Vets at this clinic. As I live in South St Petersburg, my friends thought me crazy to make the trip with three crazy excited dogs (yes, that's right,I said excited) in the truck and make the haul across the Howard Franklin Bridge "just to go to the vet" Those same friends are now also clients of T.V.H. The up to date knowledge and handling of my animals to always make they have a positive experience is second to none and a priceless asset for any practice in my eyes. ( Anyone who has a pet that HATES the veterinary office trip can understand how stressful a simple office visit can become.) My pets have received care from all of the veterinarians Dr. Webster, Dr. Gullegde, Dr.Chambliss and Dr Gordon and I have never had any doubts to my dogs medical care or safety they even remember them from trip to trip. I love that they are up to date with all of the latest medical information down to the simplest things such as sending out my reminders within plenty of time not months after they are due to keep the fur kids up to date. I am also signed up to get emails on all the latest coupons and specials with not only shots but fantastic prices on dentals / flea and heartworm medication too! I have never felt like it was about "making a buck" at T.V.H. and it has always remained being solely about the health of my animals. Recently diagnosed with health issues myself, the courteous staff even helped me with a simple phone call upon my arrival to assist me and my pet into the clinic and safely return us to my vehicle after the visit with a great attitude and always a smile. Its just so refreshing to know you are getting GENUINE CARE and RESPECT from a business and that means a lot and keeps me coming back time and time again all the way from South St Petersburg. (Approx 30miles each way). I always have and always will recommended Tampa Vet to all of my friends, family and colleagues. The quality of customer service alone just can't be beat. OH and I have never waited longer than 5 minutes past my scheduled appointment time! BIG ++++ Thank you to all at T.V.H for always making mine, Pippa, Charlie and Fidget's visits so enjoyable.

I can't say enough good things about these folks. I have been bringing my now quite elderly shiba inus to Tampa Veterinary Hospital since 2007. I get friendly and totally personal attention every time, and they have taken excellent and loving care of my dogs through several different major and minor health crisis. I am gone many months a year, and when I need to bring one of them to a vet elsewhere, Dr. Webster phones me at home to check up on how my dog is doing even though she's not the one who treated her (or made any money!) that time. They are always cheerful about helping me out - this morning they searched through 15 year old faxed papers to find me ancient information they needed. They do a great job delivering competent and personalized care, they are helpful, the facility is clean and cheerful, and they are nice to me and to my dogs. What more could I ask for? Oh, also, they never overcharge me or push expensive services.

I took my Albino Boxer who was 13 yrs. old and dying of cancer to TVH to determine whether or not it was time to end his suffering. The Vet, Vet Tech, and all of the staff treated me and Sebastian (My Boxer) great. And while the decision to end his suffering was difficult. They helped console me and even took the time to follow up with me a few days later just to check and see how I was doing! TVH doesn't just care for your pets they also care about you! I highly recommend TVH and when I adopt a poodle mix in a couple of weeks TVH is where he will get his medical treatment!

Guys, can you see my google photo here? I love my cat and insist on only the best, most professional people to take care of him. I moved to Tampa in 2007 and went to TVH on a whim after Arthur fell from a window and sprained his arm. He had stopped eating and drinking water; I was fearful. This was so long ago, so I cannot recall which doctor I saw, but I believe it was Dr. Webster. She and her tech took great care of him, and got him back on his chubby little feet in less than a week! She even called after hours to see how he was doing. I have been taking him for all of his medical needs ever since. Recently I added a new addition to the family, and he had the kitten wellness plan and neutering, as well as his annual rabies. These folks love animals, and put their needs, as well as ensuring their caregivers' peace of mind at the forefront of their priorities. Since prices are usually the big question, I would like to add that I am an employed student who lives on her own. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, and you are never pressured to purchase extra items or packages, although they are offered, but the vet techs will tell you to mull it over and understand when you say things such as "the holidays are approaching, so I may have to wait until the start of the year." Again, I have been going here for five years and have had nothing but stellar things to say about TVH. Take your furry friends here, and ask for Dr. Webster if you are looking for excellent pet healthcare, good conversation, health tips, and a balance that won't make you wonder where your next week's worth of meals will come from!
