Although Dr. Ivy advertises exotic bird experience I found that neither she or her staff possessed it. I have been a bird owner for 17 years, recently moved to the area, and need a good avian vet. Upon initial visit a bird should have a battery of tests performed for baseline labs, weight and history taken, and a general exam should be performed. As exotic birds are sensitive creatures, the exam and tests should be performed in a calming efficient manner. We were in the office for two hours during which time she and her staff chased my Rainbow Lory around the office several times due to poor handling (after I had expertly contained and handed her my bird), failed to obtain the amount of blood needed for even one set of labs, did not ask for fecal sample, and did not establish a baseline weight or history. My poor bird was handed back to me very frightened and stressed. This office may be qualified for cats and dogs but they are not set up for nor do they have experience with birds. I do not recommend you take a bird to this office. The staff and the doctor, however, are pleasant people and seem to have a general love for animals, but not the experience needed to care for exotic parrots. I'll look elsewhere for my avian vet.

They were OUTSTANDING!! Dr Ivy really took the time to get to know our pet and made sure she could do all that could do to have our senior guy avoid surgery. He came back home like a young pup!! Thank you, Dr Ivy - means more than you know!! :)

Dr Heather and Dr Steve have taken the best care of our Dog that we could ever have hoped for. He has been through quite a bit and each time he has come through with flying colors. We have been with Hidden Oaks for over 10 years, we love the whole staff! Thanks again for all you do for fury loved ones!

Their word is nothing greedy and vile. Go ahead and deal whith these people they will rob you blind
