I have been taking my dog to another vet up the road since we moved in 2006. They were ok but truly were always in a hurry to get you out and CHARGE you for the visit each time ( recheck or not). I finally got tired of them up-selling me on different items and not addressing my dog's real issues( lab skin issues). I came to Alpharetta Animal Hospital about a year ago... with my records in tote. They do a wonderful job! They are so caring and I love the way they don't charge to recheck my dog after they try a treatment( a week after etc). My other place.. said come back and we will check to make sure she is fine.. but CHARGED you. Made you not want to go back for the recheck! Great job.. and we love Dr. D there. She is great! Takes her time and tries to make the visit affordable and asks.. and gives you options! Wow what a concept! :) Thank you. I couldn't be happier!
Have heard wonderful reviews about AAH but when I called, the staff was horribly rude. A real shame for the first impression to be a terrible one. Thankfully there are many other vets in the area with good recommendations.
I have been taking my 11 year old black lab to Banfield for most of her life. She has never had any real problems until recently. She had a skin infection and a bad ear infection. After two rounds of really expensive office visits and expensive medicines, neither problem was not getting any better. We finally gave up on Banfield and brought her to Alpharetta Animal Hospital after a neighbor's recommendation. During my dog's entire life I had never seen anyone treat her and care for her like they did here. The doctor spent a lot of time with her addressing her issues. He also gave us some sample medicine to try just to make her feel better overall because of her age. Almost immediately we noticed a difference in her. Her eyes looked more alive and she has much more energy. The medicine they gave us for the two main problems is working great, and the entire visit was much less expensive than Banfield. I was really impressed with how much they cared, how knowledgeable they were, and the cost. I will never take my pet anywhere else.
Just had to call them to get them to fax our records over to the new vet. now that we've moved. AAH is incredible now, as they always have been. We'd lived in Roswell & Alpharetta for twenty years and wouldn't trust our beloved pets to anyone else!
Great vets, very caring, affordable prices!Staff could be friendlier...
