I have been taking my pets to Loving Hands for close to a year now. They have always treated my pets with exceptional care and treat them like their own. When I first started coming here I had a kitty that was limping and I did not know why. After some radiographs and two biopsies it turned out to be a form of bone cancer. They were very quick to offer advice to me (as I panicked) and we ended up choosing to amputate his leg due to the severity of the cancer. Each and every one of the doctors took such GREAT care of my Henry and I am truly thankful for that. One day several months later I came home to find him breathing oddly and noticed some vomit close by. I rushed him in and Maggie and Dr. Hall were quick to assist me. I went home with a few oxygen tanks and an oxygen cage to see if he would get better over night. The next day he hadn't improved much. It turned out that he had cancer in his lungs and we ended having to put him to sleep due to how quickly he was declining. This was a very gut wrenching experience but seeing the care and attention that Dr. Martinez, Dr. Hall and Dr. Petraitis gave him his last day with me helped ease the pain. Even though he was very young when he passed...they gave me several more months with my little man. We miss him dearly. I have 3 dogs and 4 other cats that I take to Loving Hands as well and they have treated them exceptionally well as well. I have had a few litters of kittens that I've rescued and adopted out and they were great with them as well. Loving Hands is exceptional when it comes to veterinary care.
I have been going to Dr. Joanne Rosner and Loving Hands since 1998 and was shocked to read some of the review posted. I recently lost my precious 19 year old Lucy who was a Tonkineese. Lucy had the best care known to man. Joanne took Lucy home with her so many times throughout the years went Lucy need special treatment. The staff have always been very kind and Jane, who is a very special person at Loving Hands, is more like family. Dr. Mary Schick, who is a specialist, sent Lucy and me to Dr. Rosner all those years ago and I would NEVER take my babies to anyone but her. Dr. Rosner gave me her home phone number years ago and until January of this year I had never used that number. Joanne had taken Lucy home with her for several days to see if we should continue treatment and then Joanne let me take Lucy home to see how she would respond. My husband and I realized that night, hard as it was, that we loved Lucy enough to let her go. I called Joanne at home the next morning at 7:30 to tell her what was going on. Joanne wasn't working that day but told me to be at the clinic at 8:30. She checked Lucy out and we agreed it was time. I held Lucy while everything was done and Joanne held my hand. This wasn't the first time she was there for my babies and me and we had gone through this 6 years ago with another baby. Two years ago, right before Christmas, we lost Lucy's brother Elwood. I had to board Lucy, and my other 3 Tonks but one of the nurses knew how upset I was to leave Lucy at her old age and be away right after loosing Lucy's brother. Amanda, the nurse, sent pictures of my babies daily with her I-Phone and sent me updates on how my babies were doing. This isn't a clinic that doesn't listen and doesn't care. They care and if their prices are a little higher you have to decide what is more important. Do you love your fur babies or are you trying to save a few dollars. If your animals do not come first then don't go to Loving Hands. Find a cheap vet who doesn't care about anything but getting you in and out. If you love your animals as if they are you children then you run as quickly as you can to Loving Hands. I will be getting my new kitten in 10 days and have already made the New Kitty Check with Dr. Joanne Rosner. For years when talking to my babies she always says "Aunt Joanne will take good care of you". These are people who care and who truly love taking care of animals. I can't think of another vet in Georgia who would take care of animals as Dr. Joanne does much less than them to her personal home when they are sick. SO - for those of you who think you had a bad experience you do need to find a cheap vet because it is obvious that your fur babies are not as important to you as they are to the loyal people who go to Dr. Rosner. I have recommended Loving Hands to so many folks I couldn't count them. I do not live close to Loving Hands and there are times when it has taken me over an hour to get there but I have NEVER experienced anything but concern and caring. I will continue to recommend Loving Hands and know that so many others feel the same way. As long as I have my fur babies I will gladly make the drive to Loving Hands.
Even though I have never brought my pets to this facility because I manage my own animal hospital across town, I can truly speak on how exceptional the management is there. I have not only been a past employee of this hospital manager but can now consider her a friend and mentor. Even though it is not always easy, I have learned from her the value of treating people not only fairly but with honesty and integrity both with my clients as well as my employees. I have visited this hospital a couple of times and have found everyone there to be passionate about the animals they care for, excited to be part of the LHAC family and working hard to make a difference. What more could you ask for in a family vet?
READ THIS TRUE STORY and you will see exactly why you should not step foot inside of Loving Hands Animal Clinic: Not too long ago, an incident occurred at Loving Hands that is just unacceptable when it comes to veterinary care. There were two large dogs in boarding at Loving Hands who had a history of being aggressive towards other dogs. The staff was instructed to walk the dogs separately (on separate leashes) due to the noted aggressive behavior as well as their overall size & strength. However, rather than walk them separately & keep them away from other dogs, a staff member walked both dogs together in the yard while fellow kennel staff members also leashing-walking other pets. Incidentally, the two dogs ended up attacking and almost killing another boarding dog that was being walked in the yard at the same time that they were being walked together. Dr. Roesner and “Loving” Hands saved the poor dog, but of course the management at LHAC made sure to keep everything a secret (even from the owner of the two attacking dogs) so as not to ruin their reputation. Everything about this clinic looks good on the outside, that’s for sure. But in the case of Loving Hands Animal Clinic, you most certainly CANNOT “judge a book by its cover.”
Just came back from having my dog checked up for the first time at this facility. I really do think that the staff at Loving Hands live up to their name as we were provided with nothing but exceptional service throughout our visit! We've never been to a local Veterinary hospital that wasn't Petsmart and I have to say... I wish I had switched over earlier! Loving Hands is so much more convenient and way more professional than Petsmart. I am impressed. Thank you for taking such good care of Hana! Will be a returning customer.
