Was really surprised to hear bad reviews about the clinic. Before take my pure blood puppy to any clinic I spent time going around (5-6) places and talking to doctors, this clinic and doctor seemed me the most adequate and I never regret. Nice, easy, friendly customer service. And they really want you to stay healthy and happy and to visit them only for annual shots. Sometimes they even didn't charge me when my worries about my dogs health were not confirmed! They not making money on you, they always busy with customers....I really can advice them as great place to come and one of the most affordable! My,now, two dogs go only there :)
beware: I had a Groupon deal that was fantastic- $22 for grooming, so I bought 2. Upfront experience was good, however, once I went to pick them up, they claimed that both of my dogs had fleas and charged $18 PER DOG extra for some little magic pill which supposedly kills all fleas. First of all, if there was such a magic pill, wouldn't our vets let us in on the secret, and secondly, my dogs don't and still don't have fleas. I inspect them and flea comb them often - and I KNOW that if dogs have fleas, they have flea "dirt" which neither of my dogs had or have had. To play along, after I picked them up, I inspected them again, and guess what - still no flea dirt = no fleas. I called the Dr and addressed my concerns and she was LESS than kind and adamant that because they claimed they found "one big juicy flea" that both had them. one big juicy flea? really? I asked if it was possible my dog picked it up in the yard while I was walking her and she said it was impossible because they 'treat their yard'. omg. I see that they have the same ad running right now (Oct 2014) so I'm sure their scam is to get you in cheap, and spank on the fees after. Guaranteed- your cute little critters who have no fleas will certainly be charged as if they do have fleas! fair warning!
Dr. McElroy has gone way and beyond to find the least invasive way to treat my dogs. She researches treatments and truly does the work to find the best treatment for your dog. She doesn't OVER vaccinate and always looks for a more holistic approach. My dogs would have died from liver failure from a traditional vet. She really looks long term and not short fix. You would be lucky to have her as your vet.
I purchased 2 groupons for my dogs. When I called to make an appointment, I was told I could not use more than one groupon. I noticed in the reviews that some other customers were allowed to. I was also told that my husband couldn't use one in his name. And I was told I couldn't use the amount I paid for the groupon as a credit. Pretty much I wasted 59.00 for the second one, as Groupon won't refund the money. Great. Anyways, I chalked this up to my error and made an appt for my one dog. I took her in for vaccines and a shave down/toenail/bath. When I picked her up, I was in a hurry as I had my 2 year old with me. I got home and realized that I didn't have her rabies tag. I also noticed huge chunks of fur all over her belly and her head and tail were not blended into the shave down. It was a chunk where there was lots of hair and then none. She also had a couple scabs on her. I called to inquire about the rabies tag and was told that I would have to drive 45 minutes back to the office and pay $3.99 for a tag. I explained where I lived and that I was already unhappy with the services and customer service I had received and was told that they couldn't charge me $3.99 because it broke their "no charges under 25.00 over the phone" rule. Unbelievable. I was told there was no one else I could talk to and there was nothing they could do. $3.99 y'all. This is apparently what I, as a customer, am worth to them. I will not return and I will make sure no one I know does either.
Dr. McElroy is EXCELLENT. I purchased 2 groupons for my dogs yearly exam and vaccines. Dr. McElroy was very thorough and pinpointed a few problem areas. Things I had noticed but never mentioned by other vets. We have been to several vets from moving many times in the past few years.. she's the most thorough by far!
