This place is incredible and everyone who works there is fantastic. We've been going to them for 7 years now and have never had an issue. They are thorough, beyond professional, and extremely attentive and caring. Everyone from the front office to the vet techs, to the vets exceed our expectations every time we visit.

I was going to another vet that I liked, but they were having trouble diagnosing my cat's illness. I sought a second opinion from Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs and they recommended treatment that produced positive results. My cat remains under their care and is much improved. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

My dog had a life or death situation today,called to ask 2 simple questions from a guy who picked up the phone. He was assisting others while I was asking my question then interrupted and said "Can I give you a call back?" But did not either ask a name or contact number and of course he didn't return my call. If you can lie about something as simple as that,I wouldn't dare trust the life of my pet in your hands.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. At least read the first sentence if you don't feel like reading the whole story. I had a bad experience here. I took my cat to AHSS (Animal Hospital of Sandy Springs) for a teeth cleaning procedure and it was discovered that there is a tumor in her mouth. They did a biopsy on the tumor and then sent the biopsy tissue to the lab for testing. Days later I was told by AHSS that the exact diagnosis could only be determined by a special staining, which AHSS would have to request to the lab and I would have to pay $200 for up front. So I went back to AHSS and paid the $200 for the special staining and was told it should only take a few days to hear results. 2 weeks passed and I never heard anything. During those 2 weeks I called AHSS twice leaving messages with the veterinarian to call me back and neither of my calls were returned. I finally called a third time and spoke with one of the vets there and he straight up lied to me. He said it's taking so long because it takes a few days to send the biopsy tissue to the lab and a few more days to get results. That's funny, because THE LAB ALREADY HAD THE BIOPSY TISSUE. Suddenly it became clear to me what was going on: THEY NEVER REQUESTED THE SPECIAL STAINING IN THE FIRST PLACE, even though I paid for it. I assumed the vet I had on the phone realized this (even though he wouldn't admit it) and finally requested it, so I waited another week and I finally got the results via email. In a nutshell, it took them 3 weeks do something that should have taken a few days. On top of that, they failed to communicate with me (not returning my calls). I feel like I was being neglected and ripped off. Keep in mind my cat's cancer (turned out to be histiocytic sarcoma) is only getting worse over time, so AHSS's screw-up may have reduced the quality and/or amount of life she has left. Don't make the mistake I did and go here just because it's close to where you live. Take the time to find a good vet that you trust, even if you have to drive a little farther. You and your pet deserve it.
