Seeing all of these bad reviews my heart aches for those who lost a pet due to financial circumstances. I have fortunately never had a bad experience with St. Francis. My parents took their two dogs their after being bitten by rattle snakes and they've kept and treated both dogs who were on the verge of dying. One of them did passed but they did everything they could and were kind enough to let us visit everyday. I have taken my dog in the middle of the night for a bladder infection and they've always shown love and care for him each time I have brought him or my other dog in out of sheer concern.

These past weeks have bee a comedy of errors.I was told to bring in my dog for blood work at 8 am on a Saturday. When I arrived they told me that the blood could not be drawn until 2 PM. When I returned, I was told that the doc was too busy to write a prescription for my dog. Once again I returned -- several days later. They gave me the prescription. When I got to my car, I realized it was a different medication for ANOTHER DOG! HOW SCARY!!!! When they filled it again, it was for the correct medication, but the medication had expired!!! When I pointed out this error, they said that the dose my dog took was uncommon so they didn't have enough unexpired medication to give me. (So they had given me expired medication....) Amazing. Never did anyone acknowledge the errors.

The vet tech and the receptionist were very kind, but that's about as much positive feedback as I'm willing to give. I brought in my dog in last night for what I was afraid was bloat, THANKFULLY, it wasn't. The vet himself we only saw for a minute and in that 60 seconds he both insulted me and made me feel like crap for bringing my dog in. (sorry for being a responsible pet owner and trying to make sure my pets are ok) I asked him for advice to prevent an emergency situation later on down the road, he was quite rude and told me 'don't be lazy'.... Honestly, this place seems to be all about the money and not so much about emergency medicine. We will not be bringing out animals back to this facility.

I don't recommend this clinic to anyone. They will not help your pet unless you are willing to pay for everything they do upfront. NO PAYMENT option. If you can't pay you are stuck with a sick animal. My puppy ended up dying the day after being seen here, and because I didn't have 2000 the night I went in, I still have no clue why my puppy was sick. The nurse even told me a story about them treating a dog for parvo for a week, and they sent it home to the owners because they could no longer pay and the dog died. What the hell. I paid 400 the night I went in, I didn't feel like they did anything to help, they even said it might be better to take my puppy to my regular vet in the morning because they could run more tests. Not satisfied at all.

The hospital offers to remove cat claws as a service but the Doctor I saw spent 20 minutes trying to talk me out of it. If you think it is inhumane don't perform the surgery.
