If you are taking your pet to the emergency hospital you would assume you have the right as owner to stay with your pet during initial examination. Took my dog to this establishment based on reviews given and felt this place would be trustworthy in time of need. I was wrong very wrong. No one explained to us that we weren't allowed to be in the examination room with our pet which I have never experienced such policy having been to other 24hour vet. Hospitals. We wanted our dog back and when we walked out, the front receptionist threatened to call the police on us because they had taken "vitals" and since we signed the paperwork. Note that our dog was gone for less than a few minutes. All we wanted was to be with our dog during the examination and when we choose not too, they threatened with police but not taking in the consideration as a customer. We didn't feel like they valued our time but definitely the fee. I am truly disappointed.

Highly recommend. Dr. Oshin saved our dog's life. We were referred by another vet/family friend after our small dog was hit by a car. Our pup had internal injuries, open wounds, fractured pelvis, required specialized surgery and spent 8 days at NGVS. He would not be here today without Dr.Oshin and the other staff that cared for him during the 8 days he spent with them. Dr. Oshin spent countless hours with us over the course of several weeks (even after our dog checked out and returned home to another state) discussing every question we had about our dog's recovery, etc. and he was happy to communicate with the medical team who took over once we brought our dog home. So thankful! Dr. Oshin is an OUTSTANDING doctor. Can't thank them enough for saving our much loved dog.

The vet seemed knowlegable enough although their prices are kind of high. I received an estimate for a surgical procedure that was 1k higher than 2 others I had for the identical procedure. Of course you do get what you pay for and I'm sure they are very qualified vets but if budget is an issue, as it is for many, keep this in mind.

We were referred to North Georgia Veterinary Specialists with the highest recommendation by our primary veterinary practice for diagnosis and surgery for our 5 month old puppy. Dr. Curcio and the entire staff are not only highly skilled professionals but amazing caregivers. We are lucky to have a practice such as this in our area and we heartily recommend them as well!

GREAT doctors and staff. Dr. Oshin saved my furbabies life! Tex (My cat) ended up having urethral obstruction and needing to have emergency PU surgery to keep him from basically drowning in his own urine and feces. I felt something with Dr. Oshin that is hard to come by with Dr's/Vets/Etc. I felt compassion & love from him. I felt like he treated my furbaby as if it were his own. He was completely understanding of me and my husband as far as finances go. It ended with a simple fact of money always being an issue & it always will be. I will not always have my furbaby so when the decision came down to it and we had to decide what was best for us, it was saving our furbaby. Tex is still in recovering and doing amazing, thanks to Dr. Oshin and his staff. I will never go anywhere else for emergencies! I RLY wish they did routine Vet care, as well. But i will surely take what i can get of them!! I NEVER felt as though i was being ripped off. The price was completely reasonable, especially for what type of surgery was being done. Compared to other prices, i got a good deal, as well as affection! They have shown us so much love, compassion, & life within their practice. I get teary eyed everytime i think about how he was with Tex. Thanks to them- We will have our furbaby for many more years! :) Thank you North GA Vet Specialists!
