I had to bring my 7 year old Chihuahua (Boo) in due to cluster seizures. She's had seizures before but never like this and needed attention as soon as possible, however, our regular veterinarian was out due to a death in the family. I am always very cautious when it involves the health of one of my Chi's and do not like going places where we do not know the staff. I was pleasantly surprised as soon as we walked into Animal Hospital of Whitfield County! The staff was wonderful!!! Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, and understanding. They took her back very quickly and Dr. German was amazingly knowledgeable about the entire situation. She made us feel very comfortable and we knew that Boo was in good hands! Boo has the medication she needs and I am happy to say that she has not had a seizure for over 12 hours now! Animal Hospital of Whitfield County is completely marvelous! If I could rate you 20 stars I would! Thank you so much for your time and compassion! You're all truly fantastic!
Absolutely love them! They're the only ones I will take my babies to, which include 10 dogs and three cats as well we 2 birds. If you're looking for the perfect doctors for your pet babies take them here and they will be treated as if you yourself were taking care of them. There is no better vets in Whitfield County!
On Thurs 11/21/13, my wife took our 11 yr old Chihuahua to AHWC for bloody diarrhea. She was prescribed and received medications for the diarrhea and nausea and released. On Fri 11/22/13, my wife returned to AHWC with our dog when she began throwing up clear, foamy vomit. She was admitted to AHWC for the weekend and received IV fluids, antibiotics, nausea meds and had blood tests performed. On Mon 11/25, our dog was released with a clean bill of health having been prescribed NO additional medications, diagnosis, or treatment plan. On Fri 11/29 around 11am I called AHWC to tell them our dog was very sick and to ask if any kidney tests had been performed thinking she was in kidney failure. The answer was no and there were no questions asked and no instructions to bring our dog back. Our dog died later that day having suffered immeasurably from Pancreatitis that we were NOT, repeat NOT, advised of until MONDAY 12/02/13 when we called AHWC to tell them our dog had died. Drs Richmond and German were the attending veternarians.
