The best vets I've ever been too. My puppy had Parvo and Dr. Stacy god him through it. He's a happy healthy full grown dog now and I wouldn't trust anyone else if he came down with something serious.
We have been taking out cat to The Village Vets for about 3 years now, and we have been very happy with the care provided for her. The staff is very understanding and helpful when it comes to scheduling our visits. The doctors are also very helpful and caring when it comes to our pet. The doctors that I have seen regarding her care have always been very good with her and taken the time to explain our treatment options and medications (if needed).
I don't think I could bring my two dogs anywhere better. The staff is always kind and helpful, and the vets are amazing. They make sure to answer all of your questions and don't push you out of the door. The complimentary Coca-Colas are super helpful after a long workday!! Seriously, the price may be higher than other offices, but it's because the service is amazing. I would trust them with my animals any day.
I had a very sudden requirement to board my 13 year old special needs lab. She doesn't have use of her back legs at all so she required quite a bit of care. I called Village Vets in Stone Mountain who had seen her before (Dr. McColgan) and asked if they had space to board her. They said they did and to bring her in when needed. I was out of town and had someone staying with my dogs at my home but he had to leave. I was very upset that I had to board her at all but Village Vets in Stone Mountain took exceptional care of her. When I called to check on her I was put through to the tech that was actually caring for her and they made me feel at ease that she was doing well and was getting great care. Dr. McColgan even called me personally during her stay to give me an update on how she was doing. I couldn't have asked for anything better!
I also discovered Village Vets when I had an emergency with my Newfoundland mix breaking his ankle. Dr. Adam Calcutt was excellent in referring him for surgery. I then started taking my 14 year old Alaskan Husky to Dr. Prather because he has become very fearful, has difficulty walking and doesn't like being touched and muzzled. Two groomers had refused to have him back. Village Vets has technicians that are very skillful in muzzling him. Dr. Prather is excellent with elderly dogs and even brushed him for us once. She has worked with us on pain medicine for him since he has difficulty tolerating some medications. She also communicated with me by e-mail when needed. Recently we rescued a dog dumped in our neighborhood. Village Vets Dr. Calcutt did a thorough workup and shots and gave us a discount since he was a rescue. They also gave us a lot of information about rescue groups that might place him. The facility is clean and inviting and the receptionists are very friendly, courteous and knowlegeable.
