My 10 year old cat has bronchial disease and has flare-ups every few months that are very scary. I moved from Texas to Georgia two weeks ago and Pedro had another set of attacks that were worse than before, leaving him debilitated and almost completely unable to breathe. I was lucky to find this clinic that graciously discounted some services (as we're recovering financially from the move) and employs very kind, animal-loving doctors and technicians. I was expecting to wait for hours after reading some negative reviews, but showed up at 1 PM on a Saturday for first come, first serve urgent care and got into a room within ten minutes. The technician was super helpful as was the vet we saw. The staff took the time to explain the long-term pros and cons of different treatments and put my mind at ease. Even if I had had to wait longer I feel that I would still be quite pleased with the whole experience, and left paying about $300 less than I would have paid at any other vet.

Was given an estimate of $200-$500 to extract teeth from my cat where she had an infection, arrived early at 7:30 and was 2nd through the door. I paid the high estimate of $500 and dropped her off. At 3:00 PM I received a call that they did not start on her yet and they would begin in another 2 hours (10 hours after I was told to drop her off). After they started I received a call around 5 PM stating they underestimated the amount and it would be at least $750 to complete the work. After I told them the high estimate was $500 and some arguing they agreed to finish the work for $500. After picking up my cat, was told they in fact did not complete the procedure and to bring her back for another several hundred dollars of work to complete. I argued but got nowhere with these folks, nor did the doctor ever bother to speak with me or update me. I took my cat to another vet who had the right equipment to complete the procedure, and they also corrected work that Wellpet did not execute correctly because Wellpet does not have the correct equipment to see inside the gums (Wellpet's comments to me after the procedure and $500). I have taken all 5 of my pets to Wellpet over the years, and am very disappointed that it has turned into an express lube type of veterinary care with at least one unscrupulous veterinarian. I will never go back.

This is my regular Vet. Overall great place. Had 1 bad experience: One of the doctors told me not to take my dog out, until his shots were complete. I took the advice. Unfortunately, like most puppies, my pup was 4 mos old before his shots were complete. Now, he is cautious around strangers... A few months back, I took him for his Lepto shot and a nail trim (which he has always hated). The tech who took him away into their "back room" came back in and told me that he was trying to bite during the nail trim, to get away from it. She told me my dog was not behaving normally and his temperament was bad for his age. She bluntly handed me a muzzle and asked me to put it on him. Told me they wouldn't be able to cut his nails, but would try to give him the shot. The shot went fine. They advised me to speak with one of the doctors, for a charge of 35 bucks. I accepted. The doctor came in, and told me that they were concerned that my dog could be labeled as "aggressive" if he didn't start to behave better, and told me to get a trainer. Then one of the vet techs came in after less than 3 minutes and said "sorry, but I need to steal the doctor". I paid 35 bucks for a 3 minute consultation, only to be advised that they think my dog needs training. I didn't like that too much. If a puppy is there for a shot and to have nails trimmed, knowing that many dogs hate having nails trimmed, WHY WOULDNT THEY GIVE THE SHOT FIRST, THEN ATTEMPT THE TRIMMING?! My dogs anxiety around others is also a result from the advice one of the doctors gave me, to "not take him out until his shots are finished". As a result, I have a dog who is scared of strangers. I DO WORK WITH A PERSONAL DOG TRAINER NOW, and my pup is getting much better. He doesn't gorowl at strangers nearly as much, and his more recent trips to Wellpet have been much better. He still gets scared, but doesn't really growl and hasn't never tried to bite since.... Most of the people who work here are very friendly, and professional. The cost is fantastic, an it is an overall great place. However, if you choose to take your pet here, free up some time. They are a popular place, and are usually very busy....

This place is an awesome safe haven for not only pets, but also the pets' owner. They are very careful with your animal, they took time out to actually listen and they have the most affordable prices I have seen in Atlanta as well as otp. This is a really good place to go to if your dog is really sick. I had just lost one dog to parvo & my puppy Sayso got sick also. I took him & even though I had to come back at 2pm (parvo is highly contagious & they only take one parvo patient per day & they make sure its the last appt of the day) they took their time out explained everything fully to me & based on their careful care & instructions, Sayso is now back to his bouncing, healthy self! Also, they remembered how my dog Toshi died & sent me a card in the mail signed by all of the staff. I was not expecting that. And it really touched me. I would recommend them to anyone needing a vet.
