Amazing veterinarian! Dr. Travis has 27 years of experience in the Duluth area. She is exceptional with cats. I wouldn't take my two anywhere else. Her staff is friendly, compassionate and caring.
I LOVE Dr. Travis, Rachael, and Jessica and all three LOVE MY GUINEA PIGS! I have had a hard time trying to find someone that has seen guineas before and I have come to the right place. When two of my (what I thought to be) "males" had babies, I brought them in to determine the sexes of all four of them. I felt like Dr. Travis loved these little babies more then I did. She is an amazing Doctor and she has an amazing staff. Rachael and Jessica are always there to greet me at the door and they are so nice. They explain anything and everything I need and I wouldnt go anywhere else! :) Thanks Mercy Animal Hospital!
Dr. Travis really cares about animals. The wait is sometimes longer than most vets, but I think it is because she spends so much time with each patient. It is a very laid back, friendly atmosphere.
Three years ago a prominent local vet practice failed to diagnose Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever in my Wirehaired Pointing Griffon. Luckily, the small animal hospital at the U of GA detected it; however, Harley failed to improve and his weight declined to a dangerous point. Several months ago I took him back to the University, and they took a hip biopsy, which proved negative. The downside was that they discharged him with an infection, and that he was still so sick. That's when I discovered Dr. Travis and Mercy Animal Hospital; over the course of two months she managed to heal his hip and placed him on a medication regimen that has resulted in complete remission of the rheumatoid arthritis he suffered as a result of the RMSP. We had several setbacks along the way, but Dr. Travis and her staff were unfailingly encouraging. This past weekend Harley and I went quail hunting; we released 15 birds and Harley worked hard for three hours to find them, eventually pointing all 15, plus one extra. There is no way I can adequately express my gratitude for Mercy Animal Hospital's intervention.
Great experience. Always quick with appointments. Considerate when dealing with less than rational pet personalities. Front desk folks are friendly and welcoming. Dr. Travis discusses options patiently. Good grooming too! No negatives here.
