I had my first experience with All Creatures recently when I went to get my bearded dragon checked for worms and parasites. The staff was kind, knowledgeable, quick, and thorough. They gave him a physical and printed off a full report assessing different aspects of his health. I was impressed! I'm giving 4 stars because it was pricy, but they're one of the few exotic/reptile vets in metro Atlanta, so for me it's worth it.
I have 17 years with the Dr.(s) Akins , I have never found a more caring clinic both for the animals & humans they deal with. All my questions are always answered often before I even ask them.I never even have to tell them my name when I call they know my voice right away & have always been right there to help in any way they could at anytime i needed them. I just can't say enough good about them they are without any doubt the very best there is
Extremely arrogant and uncooperative vets. Brought an exotic lizard in with a respiratory infection. All the commonly known and discussed telltale symptoms. They recommended I drop him off, and theyd call me once the exam was complete. Shortly before they closed, the vet called and asked what the problem was. I explained everything and how this animal was suffering from a respiratory infection, which I observced through caring for him daily. I was told "I rely on medicine, not your observations and experience, and I dont see anything wrong, so Im not medicating this animal". I immediately picked him up, and went to a different vet. Upon physical exam, he DEFINITIVELY have a respiratory ingection, was prescrbed the medication, and was on my way. DONT PAY FOR THESE DOCTORS ARROGANCE WITH YOUR ANIMALS LIVES!
Dr. Mike takes care of my Pot bellied pig, Olivia. He is wonderful, and the staff are great to work with. I much prefer this practice to the "corporation" I used before. The atmosphere is completely different.
AVOID THIS PLACE! Dr. is very rude and they add tests that aren't necessary to an already overpriced bill. Also, do not board your pet here. Last I was there I saw someone walking a large male dog that had to urinate so badly that he started peeing as soon as they opened the door to take him out. He was literally peeing all over himself in the middle of the street because he was trying to make it to the grass. I felt so bad for him. The kennels appear small also. Overall bad vibe with this place.
