Over the Labor Day weekend, May 2014 our little poodle Keyoshi was taken to Southern Crescent Emergency Clinic after about two day of being very sick, he wouldn’t eat or drink absolutely anything. We were so worried, after all we did he seemed to be getting worse. From the receptionists, to the nurses, to Dr. McIntyre, the entire staff was AWESOME and OUTSTANDING! Keyoshi was admitted into the hospital after finding out that he had eaten sand. The staff was very professional, attentive and caring each and every day. They took great care of our little dog. After being released Keyoshi is doing great!!! THANK YOU…TO THE ENTIRE STAFF OF SOUTHERN CRESCENT ANIMAL CLINIC.

Our little princess Daisy May (Chihuahua) got bitten on the head by a much bigger dog and was on the brink of death with severe brain trauma. They literally saved her life. I cannot say enough good things about them, professional, caring and just plain awesome! They use the latest technique's and generally love the animals they care for. Even when the inevitable has to be done they are incredibly loving and give hugs and tissues. They have cared for many of our animals and we love them like family. If you ever need emergency care this is the only place to go.

I have read the other reviews that people have written and given only 1 star and i am sorry that you had a bad experience but i must disagree with your statements. I went to this facility for the first time on Sunday May 5, 2013 with my dog that i had for 16 years. Her name was Peaches. Peaches had been going through the old age dying process for one week and i was devastated but i had to put her to sleep because i could not see her suffer any longer. The two ladies at the front desk and the lady technician that helped me were nothing but wonderful to me and my husband. They all understood the grief i was going through and handle my feelings with the utmost compassion. They gently took peaches into the exam room and talked to her and told me i could spend as much time as i needed with her before saying goodbye. This was one of the most saddest days for me. Peaches had been my best friend for 16 years. The best thing about the whole process was the fact that they took peaches once she had gone to heaven and prepared her body and placed her in the sweetest white cardboard coffin and wrote the sweetest message on the top of it. I would have never thought that a place like that would do something so nice for us animal lovers. Most Vet's would just have you carry them home yourself. Southern Crescent also took a print of her paw and placed it in clay for me to have a long lasting memory of Peaches. I want to thank each and everyone of you that were there that day. You helped make a very, very sad day for me a little easier by being as compassionate as you all were. God bless each of you in a very mighty way.

Very professional. Fast considering that they were working lots of cases with just one Vet on staff, the nurses seem to be very good at helping. My dog had a large tear in his skin that needed stitches and I had risked trying to fix it myself a couple of days before. It didnt work so I took him in and they didnt judge me for trying to "DIY" the situation, they just helped in a very professional and friendly way. The prices didnt really seem that high compared to what I was expecting for an emergency treatment either - I had my other dog go through surgery at my regular vet only weeks before so to see similar prices for the work was reassuring - this was certainly no rip off. The vet even gave me some advice which my primary had missed. Some reviews on the yellow pages site are negative, but they all seem to be from people who's pet needed to be euthanized. I cant help but think that these negative reviews stem from the sheer pain and sensitive state those people must have been in while losing what amounts to a member of their family. I did see a couple leave with their pet in a burial box and with a little casting of their pets paw print. It looked to me like it was all handled with a respectful and sensitive manner.

While visiting family, our 1 year old miniature schnauzer got sick and seemed to be getting worse. We ended up at Southern Crescent at 4 am and the vet could not have been more helpful and understanding. She was very thorough and while the visit was a little on the pricey side, the vet made it worth my money. Highly recommended.
