Let me start by saying the staff was very nice and I did feel comfortable enough to leave my dog there. They were clean and very nice. I was not impressed due to their lack of communication. I called to book a consultation with a possible surgery appointment for my dog. I was told to show up at 8:30am on appointment day. I was told nothing by the appointment setter on how to prepare my dog for the visit i.e. feed them or not to feed them, water, etc. I assumed not to feed him since he's had surgery before so I was safe there. Once I got there the staff was very nice, I filled out normal forms, then the staff said "Ok we will take him back." I was very taken back as I had not talked to a doctor or anyone about the procedure to be done. Nothing. I said I knew nothing of the procedure and I had asked for a consultation before surgery. The staff again was very nice and said I could wait for the doctor to arrive so I could speak with them. No problem. I was told the doctor would be there at 9am, I was still waiting at 9:25am. At this point, I am late for work and still have no information on the procedure. I just want to be sure we are all on the same page. Finally the doctor arrives, was very nice and answered all my questions. As I was leaving I gave them consent for the procedure but for nothing else to be done. I asked them if my dog needed a collar after, they said no. My husband called after I left to get a rough estimate on the cost. They told him they were charging us for a consultation, which I had a hard time with since they were not even going to consult me. They did waive that. As my husband picks up our dog, they proceed to tell me they took out 2 teeth and charged us for it. They did explain why which made sense, however they should have called us. Not one call, nothing. Again a lack of communication. They also had my dog in a collar and charged us for it. Which again, they told me I didn't need. They are very nice. And at the end of the day they did do a good job on the surgery. I never felt uncomfortable leaving my dog there. However, the lack of communication was very frustrating. If you plan to go here, please make sure you ask all the info you need answered up front so you KNOW what you need to be prepared for.

I want to thank Wayside Animal Hospital located in Jasper Georgia, I had to take one of my precious little girls (dog) Pinky Boyd (Rat- Terrier)! She was very sick and due to my vet in process of closing down I chose Wayside and rushed my little doggie to them, they immediately saw her illness and attended to her, after running all her blood work they had to let me know everything screamed Antifreeze, all her organs was shutting down, by this time she was on deaths bed. She did not have a chance... I did have to let them put her down. Which broke my heart :-( The doctor was amazing He and his staff showed compassion and then sent me a card In Loving Memory signed by the doctors and the staff .That meant so much to me....I will now move my animal care to them and am very grateful for there service! I highly recommend them and thank them for everything!!! I look forward to continue doing business with them as I continue using them for the care of my other pet, Aunya! :-)
