STOP!!! DO NOT USE BANFIELD PET HOSPTAL * MY BOXER HAS BEEN TREATED AT THIS LOCATION SINCE HE WAS YOUNG * I FOUND AFTER TAKING HIM TO ANOTHER VET THAT HE HAS CANCER. THE VET AT THIS OFFICE JUST TOLD ME A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO AFTER I REQUESTED THAT HIS LEG WAS XRAYED THAT THE DIDN'[T SHOW SIGNS OF CANCER * AFTER GOING BACK AND ASKING THEM TO XRAY HIS CHEST SINCE I AM ON THEIR PLAN I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE AS I HAD 1 XRAY A YEAR AND I HAD ALREADY USED IT. I WAS ALSO TOLD THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO PREFORM SURGERY ON MY DOG BUT YET THEY HAVE SIGNS IN EVERY ROOM ADVERTISINTG "SURGERY" . I CANCELLED MY PLAN AS I AM GOING TO HAVE TO GO ELSEWHERE TO HAVE MY BOXER TREATED AND WAS TOLD BY CUSTOMER SERVICE THAT MY MEMBERSHIP WOULD BE IN AFFECT FOR 5 MORE MONTHS AND IF I DON'T PAY THEY WLL REPORT ME TO THE CREDIT BUREAU. OK! GET THIS: MY PRECIOUS BOXER IS DIEING BECAUSE HE WASN'T DIAGNOSED * I HAVE TO TAKE HIM TO A SPECIALIST FOR CARE AND PAIN CONTROL * BANFIELD IS STILL DEBITING MY BANK ACCOUNT EVERY MONTH FOR HIS CARE WHICH THEY ARE NOT PROVIDING AND THREATENING TO ME OVERF TO COLLECTINS IF I DON'T CONTINUE TO PAY! BANFIELD SHOULD BE ASAMED!

About 2 months ago I discovered that my dog had a nasty ear infection. Of course like any good child, he got sick on a Sunday when my regular vet was closed. As a last resort I took him to the Banfield Pet Hospital located off of Cobb Parkway. The only decent part of the experience was the young lady working the front desk. The vet barely came into the exam room, took maybe 3 of looking at Beau before she diagnosed him as malnourished/underweight, having dental disease, and hip dysplasia. She simply told me, you will need to apply his cleanser and medication to his ears as indicated on the bottle. Never once did she offer to demonstrate proper application, etc. That ran me around $140 with a "required" follow up appointment (God only knows how expensive that would have been) to tell me your dogs ears are fine but you now have X, Y, and Z wrong. Needless to say, I did NOT follow up with them. Today I took Beau to see Dr. Kennedy at Webb Bridge Animal Hospital for his semiannual exam. He has a clean bill of health: good (lean) weight, excellent teeth, and ZERO mention or concern for hip dysplasia. To Banfield I say SHAME ON YOU! Your vet was totally unprofessional and if I dare say, attempting to prey upon a "panicked" dad. I came in because I had a sick child with a severe ear infection, and your vet has the nerve to state my pet's health was worse than it really was, quite likely hoping I would act and either buy services or attempt to subscribe to more than was required. Needless to say I will NEVER use your facility or any other location EVER again. I will also continually refer my friends, family, and class mates to ANYONE else other than your company.

Walked in with my dog and his terribly swollen eyes after the last appointment had been taken. I was relegated to buying saline eye drops and went to checkout when the lady rushed out to stop me. She said she told the doc about his eyes and they would fit me in, even though they were trying to close up shop and go home. He got a shot and I was sent home with an eye gel that seemed to work instantly. My dog is doing great now and it's all because the humane attitude of the kind folks working at Banfield. Thanks a million, may God bless you and keep you in his care now and always.

I had a litter of four kittens, and had called up the Smyrna Banfield office asking about price and time. I had gone to that one before for my other cats and so I was inclined to try. She was very enthused (at 7 in the morning, no less) and invited me out there. She told me about the litter price right off the bat. She sounded as if she wanted to see the kittens, even though the Petsmart had an adoption center and I'm sure she saw a number of kittens. Sadly, the Kennesaw Banfield vet hospital was closer. When I called, the lady who pick up sounded indifferent. She didn't even mention the litter fee, and had to ask. This did not bode well. When I got there, the manager charged me for the first time visit, a per-kitten litter fee for the remaining three, and an additional litter "package" fee. Which I found utterly ridiculous. I mentioned I had called up the Smyrna office and (since they sounded like they knew what they were doing) they had quoted me the per-kitten fee but not the per-litter fee. She did not try very hard to help me, and just gave me the look of, "well.... that's what the computer said." I seriously thought about walking out and driving the extra mile to the Smyrna office. I sat in the examination room, smelling the antiseptics and the howling dog in another room. The staffer that handled my paperwork had come in later and gave me a first visit discount, which was cool, but first impression was hard to shake off. The indifference was getting to me. I was about to send a text message to a friend, "This place totally sucked!" when the vet tech entered in. Her attitude was totally different. She took care of each of the kittens and really tried to be warm and friendly to them (they didn't really know what was going on until they got their temperature checked). The doctor who came in later was bright and cheery. There wasn't that indifferent attitude I felt coming from the other staff. The doctor had wanted to put the notes into the computer for each of the pets individually. It was simply easier to track, to make sure each of the kittens get the level of care they need. I thought that made sense. Later, I over heard him talking to the manager about it, who said that the computer would then charge me individually for each of the kittens. He then told the manager he'll figure something out with the notes, and didn't mention it to me when he came back. So my conclusion: the doctor there and the vet tech there really cared about the animals. The staff members, though, really put me off, though they did work with me on it.
