I have used Leland Veterinary for years now. I my dogs and cat always get excellent care, and once when my dog was in critical condition, Dr. Carreker made the right call and saved his life (very rare diagnosis). I'm very happy to have found a veterinary clinic that knows about the quirks of sight hounds. The prices are also highly competitive. I recommend Leland Veterinary to anyone looking for a new vet!!

I am sorry to read about the other user's experience, but I have always had a great relationship with this vet. Dr. Carreker has been my vet for 7 years and has taken good care of our dog. They have always been professional and I would not go anywhere else. Definately recommend.

I brought in my cat on Tuesday for an examination... They informed me my cat needed a leukemia vaccine. So I took their word for it and agreed. The bill was about $500. The next day my cat was incredibly sick... refused to eat, drink, or move at all.. I called the vet that day and they said not to worry, she's probably stressed and call back in two days if its still bad. Two days later (Friday) she was worse, hardly responding at all. I demanded to bring her in. They gave her some anti-inflammatory pills and sent her home. By Saturday, I was worried about my cat's life... I took her to the Cobb Emergency vet in Marietta... They said she was in critical condition... It was a bad reaction to the vaccine. I spent $4000 trying to save her, but the damage had gotten too bad by then for her to recover, and she had to be put down to end her suffering. I informed Leland Vet about this, and wasn't offered any sort of monetary compensation. not even for the vaccine that killed my cat... While the staff has always been very friendly (they had a rose delivered to my house) , I don't feel that my cat was in the most professional hands... I also feel that if they hadn't disregarded my concerns when I called on Wednesday, my cat might still be alive today. I would not recommend this vet to anyone who wishes for their pet to stay alive.
