Let me just simply say that this was one of the best veterinary experiences that I have EVER had. I am from out of state and have just moved to the Macon area about a month ago. My 5year old Boxer got a simple urinary tract infection and they treated him with the best of care. He also has a history of mast cell carcinoma so as a "mommy", I am very careful with his care and he sees the veterinarian quite a bit. He saw Dr. Brantley just yesterday and I can honestly say that if I ever move back to West Virginia, I wish it would be feasible to fly down here to take my dog to the vet. Dr. Brantley examined, very thoroughly, his pathology records and did not just simply treat the UTI. He examined him fully to be sure that there were no more tumors and did a COMPLETE exam on my baby. He treated him with love and affection as well. I have NEVER seen my dog lick a vet...and this time he did. He was a happy dog when he left there. I think my very favorite part of the experience was when I went to pick him up and Dr. Brantley came out and spoke directly with me without my request. ALL OF THE VETS DO THIS! This is a service that is almost unheard of as it is usually very difficult to actually talk to the Dr. He came out and sat down in the chair next to me and explained to me, step by step, the entire exam, his findings, and his thoughts and his treatment option and why he felt that treatment option was the best. He also asked me how I felt about it and if I agreed or had any apprehensions regarding his therapy choice. This is amazing. It is a very holistic approach to veterinary medicine and "Gauge" will certainly be back to see them if any problems arise. The reception and technician staff are wonderful and welcoming and the office is extremely clean and well kept. I loved my experience and so did my puppy!
