We're owners of five (adopted) dogs, and Hudspeth is our vet office for everything from preventative care to major emergencies. I met them when one of our dogs was hit by a car, and we arrived as an emergency, holding her and both covered in blood. She was already in shock. And they immediately took charge of the situation. Dr. Hudspeth and Dr. Giles literally put her front legs back together with two weeks of in-patient and out-patient care. She is now four years past the accident and completely healed. They saved her life, and total treatment cost, including major surgery was $700. It would have cost thousands anywhere else. They are an old fashioned practice - tried and true with experience that came before many modern vet medicines. They have those "farm vet" roots that I think is so important to animal care - it's not about doing a treatment just to see what happens, it's a solution and the animal being better. Our oldest dog is now seeing them for a tumor. She is 16+ and we all agree we just want her to be comfortable. Dr. Giles even saw her on a Sunday and didn't charge us an off-hours visit. This is where experience counts. Don't expect bedside manners, expect serious doctors with a wealth of experience in animal medicine who care about the animal. It's not about you. I just can't say enough about them - this is the kind of practice that won't be around forever but it's worth every penny while it is.
Worst service EVER. The only persons in that office that have a good attitude are the ladies that work in the front office. I took my elderly mothers 18 yr old cat to be treated. As I am calling to ask if my mother would like for me to leave her or bring her back on Monday, the male assistant rudely tells the lady behind the desk that I can call her from in there and to come on. Then Dr. Hudspeth tells me that if he is gonna treat her that it needs to be worth his time. Next telling me bye as if dismissing me. He treated the cat 4 months ago, charging my mother $200. I left the office with the cat and went to another local vet where they were very nice. They saw the cat within 20 minutes and charged me $32 for the exam, an injection, and antibiotics.
