Dr. Best lives up to his name. He is our first choice when our furry family friends need help.

We were referred to Dr. Best by friends almost 30 years ago. He gave our each of our Labrador Retrievers (Lady 7 and Lucky) their puppy shots, and he was their vet all their lives. He cared for our cat tramp, and we still trust the folks at Due West Animal Clinic with or recently aquired Shetland Sheepdog (Lumiere).

Maybe they are not the cheapest vet in town. But, when your pet is a family member and you want the BEST vet there is to have, and not a "cheapo" vet, then this is where you go. Dr Best has worked with my pets, my babies, for over 14 years. His bedside manner is laid back, but his knowledge and abilities in working with your "children/pet" is second to none. I've gone to other vets for routine needs and nearly lost one because of lack of attention after a procedure. Because of that, I'd rather not take my pets to the vet unless it was an emergency. Dr Best is the pet whisperer. He calms them by looking and talking to them. He is so current on today's medicine and his daughter also soon graduates vet school. If you are more worried about cost than service, then don't go, because it might be higher. But, if you want a vet where the waiting room is clean, calm and peaceful and the doctor is the best there is for your family member, then this is where you go. If you want a groomer then go to a groomer, but if you need a specialist and caring doctor for your pets, then go to Dr Best.

I will not take my pet back to Due West Animal Clinic. The front desk staff was very rude to me when I asked about the bill which seemed a little high to me. The person at the desk was reading me the breakdown of the bill which should have included 2 nights of boarding,but when she read it to me she had said that it was for 3 nights. I corrected her and told her it was for only 2 nights. She then tells me the balance again, but this time it was even higher. I said, now why is the bill higher? She says very coolly that ,"Oh you just reminded me that I only had charged you for 1 night. WHAT Not impressed with them. BTW they charge 33.00 to bathe your pet!! Could have had a full groom for 44.00!! Ridiculous!

I am SO pleased with the care my dogs have received at this facility! The staff is great and Dr. Best is very sweet, careing and knowledgable. You can tell that even though he's been doing this a while, he still enjoys his work and really cares about animals. I also appreciate that he doesn't try to push expensive, unnecessary shots or products on you, but really wants the best for your animal. Keep up the good work!
