I have a bunny and I can say I looked for vets who would take in rabbits everywhere. I was a little skeptical at first, but my first rabbit was very sick so I took him to Fair Oaks. They were very understanding and helpful, and so incredibly sweet when they found out he didn't make it through the night. I knew he had the best care given to him at the vet's though and it's all I could ask for. Least to say, they've been incredibly helpful with my other bunny.
I love this place! Their staff is so incredibly sweet, smart and understanding. I called to get information on getting my cat spayed, the receptionist was incredibly kind, and patient with all my questions. She was very knowledgeable about what would happen, and gave me an estimate of the cost for her shots and spay. When I brought her in, the receptionist at the front desk, a different lady than the first I had talked to, already knew who we were and what to do, without even my having to prompt her with our information. The surgeon came in and told me all the information I needed to know. He and the assistant were both incredibly good at handling my girl and keeping her calm. She's naturally a bit of a scaredy cat (ha) and can be very skiddish around strangers. She was obviously very comfortable with the both of them. Dr. Holland is incredible. She came in, gave my girl a good look over, sent her into the back to get prepped, and ran over the costs for the procedure, which turned out to be the exact price I had been told in the beginning! How nice! I was given times of when everything would happen, and the assurance I could call anytime to check in. My girl was picked up the next day, with no complications, and no surprise charges. She's at home and doing great now, and her scar is teenie-tiny! Dr. Holland also works with the humane society to do the low cost spay and neuter with the certificate, saying its how she feels she is "giving back." Dr Holland and her staff are truly such a blessing. I will be using them as my vet from now on.
My cat has asthma and last week she had an extreme attack where I had to take her to the ER where she had Oxygen and round the clock care for a two day stay. After I took her for a follow-up with another vet, I will not name places however their specialty is Felines, and got her meds and checked out. Well I needed to go out of town within the next week and of course the vet recommended I not go or I board her for the weekend so she could get her medication consistently. Their boarding service was full so I searched for Feline Boarding and found Dr. Hollands practice listed. I called made arrangements, called back changed them, called changed them again and even after calling YET again the staff member that answered the phone was just as friendly as the first call I had made to her. I show up, kitty in tow thinking I had all of my paperwork in order to find that the vet had missed something the day before, my cats shots were out of date. As they require everything to be up to date they offered to do the shots that day so I could still board her. Not only did I find her prices to be very reasonable but they were almost HALF of what I paid the other vet the day before. Everything got finished up with that, they gave her a flea preventative, and I left my precious kitty in an unknown staffs hands. I come back to pick her up on Sunday (can we say CONVENIENT!?) to find that she is in GREAT spirits, not stressed a bit at all, but the staff spoke so well of her. They had to give her medication twice a day and she does not like it, but instead of complaining they laughed it off. I get her home and notice they had given her a sanitary shave as I have not been able to get her fully groomed because it stresses her greatly. Not only did they do this without me having to ask for it, there was NO additional charge! Here's the surprising thing, and the reason why Dr. Holland will be my cats vet for the entire time I am in the area, SHE CALLED ME! A follow up call to see how "the sweetest kitty" was doing and to discuss her condition and things we could do to improve it and to stress how serious it was. This amazes me, as the vet I paid nearly 2x as much hasn't as much picked up the phone to see how my cat was doing. I honestly don't think anyone could care as much as her staff. I don't understand these negative reviews. I find them to be completely competent and yes I agree, she was seemingly blunt, but I would rather someone who was going to give me the facts straight than someone who is going to sugar coat everything. Dr. Holland and her staff get a 5 star rating from a very tough person to impress when it comes to taking care of my animal and customer service! Thank you very much and you'll be seeing my kitty again soon!
Our 10 year old Basset, Frank needed several different things checked on, including teeth, eyes, itchy/flaky skin problems, and two separate growths that needed to be removed. We were worried that we wouldn't be able to afford to handle everything that he needed, but we were quoted a fair price for everything, and we were happy to know that each problem was addressed. Dr. Holland was firm in letting me know what was needed, and she handled my baby with the utmost compassion. When it came time for his surgery, we were informed about everything that would take place, including all necessary charges for the surgery. She even credited us back money for some of the expenses that she did not end up utilizing. After surgery, Frank was experiencing a prolonged reaction to his anesthesia, and they kept him overnight in a warm, safe bed, and fed him at no additional charge to make sure there were no problems. I am happy to say that Frank is a new dog! The vitamins, the surgery, and the extra care that Dr. Holland gave us has been a blessing for our baby! The staff has always extended the utmost courtesy in scheduling and billing, and even let me hang out for about 2 hours with a sleepy dog when I locked my keys in my car! We'll be moving to another town 20 miles away in a month, but rest assured, we'll still be seeing Dr. Holland for all our needs. Thank you so much!
I called and made an appointment for my dog several days ahead of time. I spoke with the staff twice. However, when I got there they could not find my appointment, when they did they informed me that It had been made for a different day then what I had been told and that If I wanted to see the vet today I would have to wait a very long time. Very rude, unprofessional. I wasted the one half-day off I get from work driving over there and I did not have time to "wait a very long time" to see the vet. They didn't even apologize.
