I adopted a 3-4 month old kitten from this shelter at Petsmart less than 2 weeks ago. He is precious and I love him, but he was very dusty/dirty, sneezy, and had a very runny eye. He cost more than other shelters, but they gave me his paperwork, told me he was neutered, dewormed, and had all his shots, but that I needed to take him for a well visit just in case. I took him to their vet since they had already treated him so many times and they looked at me like I was crazy for having brought him in "for no reason" and wouldn't even check his documents to make sure he had everything. They were very rude while I was there and also did not address his sneezing and eye issues. Fast forward to yesterday when I realized my "dewormed cat" actually does have worms. I am livid and am wondering if he really has had all of the shots they claim he has. Now today I must get off work early and pay more money to take him to a different vet to actually get him the treatments he needs. I will never adopt from them again or use their vet.

We started taking our pets to their Aiken, SC location over a year ago. I felt that they provided a very cost effective service at that time. Fast forward almost a year later and it's time to get all the dogs updated and new heartworm meds. We find out the Aiken, SC location no longer exists, so my partner calls to see about taking his dog in on Saturday 05/04/2013 (since we work all of the time). Not once did they evidently feel the need to mention that there was no vet there...so we drove all the way from Langley, SC to the Martinez, GA location only to be told that there was no vet. So my partner flies home from work yesterday to get back over there to get his dogs shots updated. Then to top it all off, I choose to purchase the heartworm meds online and they refuse to verify the prescription so that our order can be completed and shipped. I guess you get what you pay for! My time is valuable to me and this place is giving me the run around. Be warned!
