I have an 8 month old dog and she had developed a limp and had contacted SHAH and they worked me in. I had to wait about 10-15 min. The facilities were clean and are state of the art. The staff was great and treated all of the animals that came in the door with care. Dr Hamryka was great. He took his time and treated the dog with great care. He was very thorough and explained everything to me and then asked if I had any questions. I would highly recommend.

We just moved to Buford and we needed to find a Vet for our 6 year old Boxer girl, Nala. We came across Sugar Hill and went in for an initial check-up for our regular shots. Also, common with boxers, is Gingival Hyperplasia. I noticed some blood on Nala's tennis balls and saw that she had some discomfort with her gums growing over her teeth. I pointed this out to Dr. Schuler and she advised that we do a teeth cleaning as well as laser back her gums. It's been a week since her surgery and her teeth (we can see them now!) look amazing and it shows...Nala now understands why she had the surgery. The hardest part about taking care of our pet's health is the inability for them to communicate with us and vice versa about what's going on with their body. We trust in our Vets to be the messenger for this communication gap. Dr. Schuler did an amazing job and accommodated my work schedule with her surgery. I'm not just writing a review based on her professional ability to perform her job, but because she showed compassion. Nala has has been under 4 times in her life (spay, teeth cleaning, benign tumor removed, and now this last one) and this is the first time a Vet has reached out to me to see how she's recovering days later. I highly recommend Dr. Schuler to fellow animal lovers out there. Thanks, Dr. Schuler! :)

I just got a new puppy (Tinkerbell) and took her to see Dr. Johansen. The office staff was excellent, the place smelled fresh, was very clean and Dr. Johansen was amazing. I have two other dogs that have been seen by another vet office in Duluth. I will be moving their records to Sugar Hill Animal Hospital. Best experience ever!

We just moved to Sugar Hill and our 2 dogs were due for their vaccines so we could board them. I agree with another Yelp reviewer that it could have been cleaner. Pee on the floor, my dog ate a nail clipping from the floor then spit it out, etc. We ended up having to wait 2 hours from appointment to checkout and the bill came to $694!!! Once I had them remove the Trifexis strongly recommended by the vet it dropped it by $273 but still, $426 for vaccines and routine checkups for two healthy dogs is simply outrageous. I'm looking into taking them to a vet in Winder and won't think twice about the drive!!

This animal hospital is AMAZING. They have one of the best facilities that I have ever seen. I was given a tour of the place and was very impressed. Boarding your dog or cat here is more like giving them a vacation. Dr.Hamryka is an excellent veterinarian and has done a great job with Sugar Hill Animal Hospital. I would recommend this animal hospital to anyone, even if they live outside of Buford, Sugar Hill, or Suwanee. It's worth the drive!
