I absolutely love this hospital. I highly recommend their plans. Vets can get expensive these plans help defray these costs. I have a 3 legged lab. He had some cysts that kept getting bigger and so I decided to research vets and came across the Peggs. I chose their biggest plan and boy am I ever glad that I did. During a routine dental cleaning they came across a tumor on my dog's tongue. It came back as melanoma. They saved my Tobey's life. Since they found this wee have gone on to chemo drugs via a doggy oncologist. Tobey has had to make several trips to the Peggs because of these drugs. The last visit was yesterday when he had a seizure. Scared me to death, however I called the Peggs and right away they told me to bring him in. What other vet can you say will do that. Dr. D even told me that Tobey had to stay overnight (its included in the plan) that she will stay overnight and watch him. They do this with all the animals that need extra care. I love them and wish that I can take them with us when we move off the island in December.

Been taking my old dog to see both Drs'. Pegg's. They are both caring and understanding about the concerns I have. He is my girls best buddy. Since I have a senior dog with three legs, he needs anti inflammation meds which after a couple days on them he started acting like a puppy again. I have no problems getting refills from them. It is always ready the next day for pick-up. Kama'aina has memberships to help defray the costs. This is extremely nice since the majority of vet care is expensive.

We fell in love with this vet! The prices are cheaper than anywhere else on the island, the entire staff is super friendly and informative. Plus both of my dogs love going there. They go in the back willingly with no fuss!

First appointment with RuPaul they were almost an hour late but they were very friendly and I was compensated for them being late as I waited. Next appointment was how it should be (hence the 2 stars). However my last appointment was awful. I called to make an appointment and talk to a male (couldn't remember his name) scheduled me for Sunday at 0900. So I get to the clinic at 0845 rally up my cat and head to the door which was locked. Granted I'm 15 min early but the website says they open at 0700. Cool, so I head to my car and call the office which I was then told by a female that I have to wait in my car until 0900. What?!? As I hear dogs barking so alright. I'm just hanging out in the car. They call me back. Well to find out the male earlier scheduled me for Monday which I cannot do because I work. He also schedule another family in my slot for Monday. Apparently this family has a pet with the same name as my cat; Rupaul. This doesn't make any sense because I asked are you guys open on Sunday? and the guy, earlier who scheduled my appointment, said yes we are. It was a very clear conversation where we both were on the same page for sunday. However, this what the female said (Melanie might have been her name). I can also confirm the male got my cats name and my first and last name when I called and made the appointment. Anyway, so now I'm told I can wait awhile to have him seen. It looks as though I need to find a new vet. The veterinarians are super nice but their procedures are pretty awful. Just waiting on a call back to cancel my plan. A lot of other people have awesome reviews so maybe it was just me and my cat that was treated this way. *Update* Be careful getting the pet plan because I have 8 months left. They have only ran basic tests and shots. I have paid 80.00 dollars the past 4 months but now I owe them 500 to cancel.

BEST animal hospital/clinic EVER!!! They have been their for our dogs and us for a year now and we couldn't be happier! Our adventure started last year with Keiki (one of our dogs) and her inability to walk without pain. I called everywhere to find some place that could see her right away without draining our bank account and we found Kamaaina Pet Hospital. From the get go we have been over the moon with their care. They stayed after hours so I could bring her in and make sure she was alright. We signed her up for one of the pet plans that they offer and it was the BEST decision we have ever made concerning our dogs! Over the last year we have saved thousands of dollars on her care! We just recently had another emergency with another one of our dogs (our 6 month old rottie pup) and again they stayed after business hours so I could bring him in. Again amazed by their caring, compassionate, knowledgable, and genuine help for Samson's injury. We now have another one of our dogs on a pet plan and know that we will save so much by signing up. Many might think that having pet insurance or a pet plan is a waste or too much, but when you add everything up throughout the year and allow for emergencies, surgery, teeth cleaning, and x-rays it more than covers the expenses. It is worth every penny and I know for certain that my furry kiddos are well taken care of. They know my dogs and family personally and will go above and beyond to make sure that my dogs are cared for. Dr. Dee and Dr. Erik are wonderful vets and people all the way around!!!
