Kokua Pet Clinic is a low priced walk in veterinary service. They have scheduled surgery in the afternoon, which makes their walk in hours queer. Because of this, I find myself always needing service right when they are closed. If my dog hurts herself, having to wait hours for them to reopen is not an option. For Minor mishaps Cocojor has been invaluable. I enjoy their services most for known appointments, such as flight preparation.

they were nice to let me in after walk in hours were closed, but the doctor was very harsh, and rough with my kitten. Their clinic didn't detect the worms she had, another vet did. And they gave me misinformation on several topics. try Honolulu Pet Clinic... Dr. Kondo was better.

Excellent service, fast, friendly, and professional treatment by doctor and staff and prices are very reasonable. Walk-in service is great (only surgeries are scheduled). Noticed customers are coming in from all over the island - even though located in Kalihi area. In one of my visits there was a client from Waianae, another from Kaneohe and another from Kaimuki. Vaccinations are annual while another clinic charges $113 for each dog immunization visit and they opt to administer bi-annual shots (so $226 per dog per year!). Drawback is that their new location (across from the prison) has limited parking and they are very popular!

We recently re-located to Honolulu, and I took my dog there for skin irritations and an allergy test. The service is fast--TOO FAST. The vet did not listen to my dog's medical history or even look through his file I provided. (My dog has a long history of skin irritations and allergies). The vet drew blood from my dog's leg and gave him a large bruise and used an excessively large needle for a cortisone shot, which left my dog bleeding afterward. My dog has had his blood taken MANY times and had MANY cortisone shots, and somehow the other vets avoided bruising or leaving him bleeding. On top of the terrible experience with the vet, the clinic was incredibly overpriced. Needless to say, we will never take our animals back to this clinic.

Excellent Vet, I have been taking my dog here for years and i will take my new puppy here also. I do not get why people give this vet a bad rating. The price is right on. Some people just cannot be pleased no matter what service they get. I will not go to another vet.
