My family has used this clinic for almost 20 years for routine as well as emergency care for our four-legged family members. I feel my dogs received excellent care, we recently lost our 16 year old pug mix and feel the care she received at this clinic was a factor in her longevity. Our pet suffered from severe allergies, to the point where we gave her allergy injections on a regular basis. This clinic was there for us helping with teaching us to give injections, finding the right food and shampoo to keep our baby healthy and happy. This clinic was also our choice for our other dog/family member during her 14 years of life. Of course we went there when it was time to let our little girl go over the rainbow bridge, the staff supported our family emotionally and followed up with the kindest card with clippings of her hair and a cast of her pawprint. Taking care of a pet is expensive, we feel we were never taken advantage of financially and the prices charged at this clinic are comparable to other clinics in our area. Of course emergency visits cost more as well as diagnostic tests like ultra-sound but it was worth every penny to keep our babies healthy. The vets and vet techs as well as the front desk staff have never been anything other than kind to us, we would recommend this clinic to others.

I wish I had the option of not even giving this place a star - but because I want to write a review, I will. My cat was suffering from pancreatitis, hepatic lipidosis, and gall stones. In short, she was very lethargic, anorexic, and dehydrated. I took her after hours here and from the moment I walked through the door, the service was horrible. The reception staff treated me as though I was wasting their time. They were clearly talking about me and my cat's case where I could hear and not in a polite manner. Even though I told them I was referred to their emergency care from my usual veterinarian, they couldn't understand what I was there for. When I was FINALLY put into a room to see the doctor, the level of professionalism decreased even more. The vet "tech" pinned my cat's head and upper body to the table with so much force I almost want to describe it as a body-slam. And due to my cat's condition, she could barely lift her head much less vocalize so why on earth would the "tech" need to restrain my lethargic, dying cat in such an aggressive way? To top it off, my vet recommended 24-hour care with essential IV fluids which is why I needed to take my cat to the emergency clinic. When I informed the emergency vet of this, he laughed. Needless to say, my cat and I did not stay there long. I didn't even touch on the physical appearance of the clinic. I felt dirty just walking into it. Maybe the normal business hours staff is more professional and caring than the staff I had to deal with. Never again will I take any of my pets there nor will I recommend it.

I took my cat in for a common procedure; they gave me a written estimate of $800-$1100. I called around to numerous other vets on Oahu and the average quote was $425. The vet at Animal Clinic Waipahu would not even consider adjusting their price. I ended up going to Mililani Town Center Pet Clinic and paid only $277. Mililani did a wonderful job and my cat is healthy and happy. Beware of serious price gouging with this clinic.

I agree with everyone here saying that this place is WAY over priced. Highway robbery and price gouging indeed!!!!!

Conducted bait and switch tactics, quoted one price on the phone but found out price was more than triple when we arrived. Also we were given medication for our cat but not told to refrigerate it and were told the replacement would be free, then we received a bill in the mail for the medication plus a processing fee. Do not use this clinic!!!!
