I made an appointment to get my puppy spayed and thought that everything was ready to go. I called to make sure, and they informed me that the appointment was "tentative" because the veterinarian "may not want to do big surgeries". The website states specifically that one of the services that they offer is spaying. Do not waste your time with this unprofessionalism.

The Iowa Board of Veterinary Medicine needs to stop this man from practicing! I noticed my cat wasn't able to have a bowel movement so I took him to this establishment. I explained to the vet I suspected my cat had a possible impaction. After a 60 second physical assessment the vet explained that my cat wasn't impacted and he was "just constipated". He rudely told me to give the cat 3 Tablespoons of mineral oil orally and to perform a 12ml mineral oil enema and to "clean his back end up". So I paid my $45 fee and was on my way. After I got home I just didn't feel comfortable with the diagnosis so I called The Glenroads and LeClaire veterinary clinic. After they heard the story they said it was best to bring the cat in. The staff thoroughly assessed my cat and discovered an ANAL GLAND ABCESS! So while my cat was receiving treatment for this problem I decided to call Bettendorf Veterinary Hospital and ask for a refund on the misdiagnosis. I was told by the receptionist that she was not going to refund me because he had assessed the cat! I guess the misdiagnosis was just a technicality to them! These people are dangerous and I don't know how they can sleep at night. He calls himself an animal veterinarian, I call him a hack!

Answered the phone at 3:30 to tell me he closes at 5:30 on Wednesdays and hung up. Never answered my calls after that.

Very compassionate and caring veterinarian. Took care of our dog for 17 years (normal lifespan for that breed 13-14 years). Very reasonable fees. Concerned about the pets well being rather than smoozing owners. His own dog got lost and he spent considerable time and effort trying to find him, showing he really cares about animals. His long time staff is excellent and also care about your pets. If you go there your animal will be treated like family.

horrible is the only way to describe this place. i have a very sick cat and i took her here i told her the problems that she has been having and the vet never even bothered to see her. i payed 350$ on testing to see what is making her so sick. the vet decided on the tests just based on what he heard not actually seeing my cat. and on top of that they charged me and office visit and yet again no vet!!! just the vet techs and all they did was weigh her and took her temp. that's it. there just in it for the money. they don't care about your furry family member. would never recommend this place to anyone. this is not a good or caring vet.
