It was 2:30 a.m. and my dog was passing heavy amounts of blood. I had only moved to Iowa a few short weeks earlier and knew no one, let alone a vet. I googled Vets in the Cedar Falls area and began calling those I found. Each attempt to reach a vet at that time of the morning was either answered by the office voice mail or an answering service. As I explained my situation to anyone who would listen, the response was the always same… “If you are not a current client of the Doctor, s/he will not accept emergency or after-hour patients.” The fact that I was new to the area and thought my dog was bleeding to death made no difference to any of them. Then, I called Advanced Pet Care. The voice mail said if I was calling with an emergency to leave a message and the doctor would return my call within 30 minutes. I left a message and within 10 minutes, Dr Stevenson called me back and agreed to open her office and meet me. By 3:30 a.m., Doctor Stevenson was running tests and finding a diagnoses for Sasha. I left an hour later with a dog that was no longer bleeding and a pretty good understanding of what needed to be done for in-home care. Needless to say, Advanced Pet Care and Doctor Stevenson has been my family vet ever since. Of all the vets in the Cedar Valley area, she is the only one that had the compassion and concern to open her office to a new patient at 3:30 in the morning. This is certainly the kind of doctor that I would want for my human family and I would expect nothing less for my 4-legged family. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

I used to go to another vet in Waterloo that COMPLETELY ripped me off! They charged ridiculous amounts of money for the same exact procedures/shots!! APCC has the most friendly staff! They also have a super clean facility. Dr. Stevenson is so gentle and kind with the animals. The front desk ladies are always friendly when they call and eager to answer every question you have. They sincerely care about your animals and love them like their own. I wouldn't go anywhere else!!

The team at APCC is excellent! I have used other vets in town and have always been satisfied with the care my pet received, however, we were just a number there. At APCC I am greeted with a smile and my pet is greeted by name. The staff has been nothing but helpful and has worked with me to help my aging pet transition into old age. If you are looking to be just another face in the crowd go elsewhere. If you are looking to have your pet treated like family, chose Dr. Huddle and her great staff. (Not to mention they are on the cutting edge of pet health!)

Dr Stevenson is & has been very compassionate in providing care for our dogs. She provides services to rescue organizations while working for the overall health of each animal she cares for. Emergency, office or where ever, she is the best vet for our dogs.

Dr. Tammy and the staff did an incredible job, answered all of my questions (which there were A LOT), and loved on my sweet girl! I was so impressed with the staffs friendly attitude and loving demeanor. My kitten is 11 weeks old, and she was at ease with the staff. The first thing Dr. Tammy did was get on the floor and play with her. What a wonderful feeling, to know your furry child is well taken care of. You guys are phenomenal. Avery and I will be seeing you for a VERY long time.
