I have been taking my cat to Dr Broshar for the last 7 or so years. Unfortunately I have had to drop several hundred dollars but my cat is still with me. He has had a couple of problems with infection and this last time Dr Broshar said that he would need to be on Methimazole for the rest of his life. The doctor was charging me $1.00 per pill of 5 mg tabs. I did some looking around and discovered I could get them on-line for $.34 a pill. I placed the order and the on-line pharmacy emailed the Dr to get the prescription filled only to have the Dr refuse to fill the order. I called and talked to the clinic and was told that they did not have to fill the prescription and would not. They said I had to make a appointment every month or two and get the prescription through them. I asked if they would match the $.34 a tab and she said no. I told her she was making it hard to do business with them. I did make an appointment, but called to cancel it. I had made a appointment with another vet but they did not have the prescription on hand and would not have them for 5 days. The lady at the new vet's office asked if I could get Broshar to give me a prescription for 5 of the pills to hold my cat over. When I called to cancel the appointment with BrosharI asked if they would sell me 5 pills. They said yes they would sell me the 5 pills, but any more would have to be done after a new examination. I went to pick up the 5 tabs and this time they charged me $2.00 a tab. I will never go back them. If they would have worked with me and gave me better pricing...., but I guess the previous business did not warrant this. -
