Dr. Beyer's 'petside' manner is the best around. He's honest, caring, compassionate, realistic and will always give your animal the best care possible whether it is a hamster or a 1,200 pound steer. He also takes the time to educate you. Dr. Samuelson is also very knowledgeable and helpful. Great staff, too, always pleasant and accommodating.

I've been to a lot of vets over the years - nothing compares to this clinic. The front desk staff are extremely knowledgable, helpful and friendly. The vets are second to none. And the prices are extremely fair. I don't live particularly close to this clinic - but it is worth the drive. They always find room on the schedule to get me in for emergencies or last minute appointments too. Highly recommended.

Everyone who works at this clinic is fantastic. They are great with scheduling appointments in a timely manner, and all the vets there are super down to earth, friendly, and reasonably priced. It's totally worth the drive from Iowa City to support this clinic. Also - they will keep you from spending more money than you need to by spreading out vaccines, and only giving necessary medications (unlike to many Iowa City clinics...)

Dr. Beyer is an outstanding vet and human being - kind, compassionate, open-hearted, reality-based. He cares about his animal patients and extends that to their human caretakers. The clinic staff is friendly and helpful, they don't try to see you things you don't need, and I appreciate that the clinic is clean, but not fancied up. If I could give West Branch Animal Clinic 10 stars, I would.

I took my rabbit into this clinic because I wanted a vet who worked on small animals. I took my rabbit to the 24hr emergency vets on the weekend and they did not know anything. I went here because of the reviews I read online. They were right. Great service and manners. The vets are phenomenal at both knowledge and sympathy. Even though it was too late by the time they were going to do the surgery, they did an autopsy and really put my mind at ease. I definitely recommend this vet to anyone and will continue to use them in the future even if I have to drive.
