They basically told us that they could save our dog if we could come up with enough money, our beloved dog died and they said they would give her fluids overnight then they kept calling back telling us we had to make the payment or have her put down, we came up with 300 dollars all that we had and they said they would give her fluids through the night and two hours later they called saying they needed more money, we didn't have it and they wouldn't let us make payments. The most horrible service i have ever had in my life, then they harrased me at work for more money. They didn't do anything for her, she had a flu. Do not take your pet here, they were horrible. They said if you have enough money we could save an elephant, horrible.
All of the doctors and techs at WestVet are awesome. In the more than five (5) years we have used them for surgery and emergency veterinary care, they have performed with professionalism and compassion. A special "shout out" and thanks to extraordinary tech, Leah, whom Scooter adores.
When our Yorkie was having a difficult time giving birth to her puppy, we called the WestVet 24 Hour Animal Emergency Center and they told us to come right in. The waiting area was very busy but they took our Yorkie back immediately to see what the problem was. Her puppy was too big for delivery so they had to do a C-Section. They got the surgeon in right away and successfully performed the C-section on mommy and saved the puppy, too! We were very pleased with the care, service, friendliness and compassion at the WestVet Emergency Center.
I wanted to use this review to thank Westvet for everything they have done. Our dog was diagnosed with terminal cancer and last night was the end of his battle. Westvet was professional and friendly and very kind throughout the whole process. We worked closely with Dr. Hume; she was very honest, but also remained kind and caring. She made us feel informed and gave us all of the options and then some. Last night, when our dog lost his fight against cancer, it was late and we took him into Westvet. The staff was so sweet with him and treated us with respect and the nurses gave him ice cream. I cant say how much that meant to me that in his last moments he was given ice cream. Thank you again and to anyone reading this review and considering going to Westvet, I could not recommend this facility and their staff more highly.
Thank you everyone at West Vet who were so comforting and sympathetic when we had to euthanize our dog. De Ann at the front desk was great. We appreciate your kindness during that hard time.
