One of our neighbor boys fed our Airedale Terrier rocks. We were in a panic and took our dog to Meridian Veterinary Hospital for help. When we got into the treatment room the vet evaluated him and told us that he had 13 rocks in his stomach and that he looked like a gravel pit. He recommended starting an I.V. and keeping him over night. He said if they have to do surgery it would be pretty expensive. I asked him the costs because my wife and I are on a budget. He told us that it would be a couple hundred to keep him over night to see if he would pass the rocks and the surgery would probably be about $1000. I can afford a couple hundred($200 is what a couple means to me). The next day when I came to pickup my dog they handed me some paperwork. One of the papers was an estimate for $900. What a shock to be lied to and then they held my dog until I paid them 1/3 of the cost. I have checked with two other vets in the area and they have both said that is an outrageous cost. I got a call from Meridian Veterinary Hospital and have explained my concerns. They told me that the now $700 bill they would knock off $70 if i paid in full today otherwise they are sending it to collections. I am very unhappy with this and now they have sent me to collections for the remaining balance. Worst company and service ever.

They are wonderful. I drive past many vets on the way to see them. Worth the 40 min drive.
