I Don't think it deserves the one star I just gave it!!!!...This one is LOW ON THE TOTEM POLE IN MY BOOK NOW!...Took my dog to this vet for over 10 yrs. Thought my dog was fine but just aging. not sick or showing any signs of anything wrong. Recently my dog had to go into a Foster home for a brief period (3 wks) during our move. All the animals entering the program have to be fully checked before they are placed within a temporary foster home. Well I found out today from the Vet at the shelter over the Foster home that my dog has bone cancer and it should have been detected a while ago with blood tests!!!...... I most certainly expected better from "this caring vet" - especially after 11 yrs of his personal attentive service......Save yourself the future headache and sorrow - keep seeking a better establishment for your extended family member because there ARE better Dr's out here. Pay the extra if the Doctor is professional!!.....DO NOT bring your animal here if you want the pet to survive....... Now it's too late for my baby as I should have sought a more professional Hospital a few years ago....So much for TRUST..
Sunday evening my husband and I discovered that our senior dog had a hard, tight stomach. Concerned that it could be the onset of bloat we knew it was important to get her to the Vet right away. I called Bensenville Animal Hospital promptly at 10 am Monday morning and explained that we were new to the area and that my pet would be a new patient. The receptionist put me on hold, I assume to speak to the Vet, then came back and informed me that because we were not regulars we would have to wait until Friday. I have no veterinary training but I am aware of how serious bloat can be. Appalled by their disregard for my pets well being I made the trek out to the city to her previous Vet, Milaknis Animal Hospital on Western Ave., where I did not wait to be seen, had her promptly diagnosed and was given a prescribed method of treatment for $30 whole dollars. In short, Bensenville Animal Hospital had no concern for my pets well being. Even if they are located around the corner from my home, I will always choose to take the drive to Mlaknis Animal Hospital in the city.
The place is filthy filthy. Don't ever adopt a dog from there.
