Dr. Mark and Susan provide consistent, compassionate care. I have worked with animals for many years, dogs are my primary business. Dr. Mark is thorough, patient, and provides superior care. He cared for my personal dog, Junior, for 12 + years and was very comforting during quality of life decisions. I recommend Dr. Mark to all my clients and friends.

I HAD a 12 year cat that lived with my mother that had become sick. Not wanting to stress her out with a long car ride my mother took her to Cermak animal clinic since it is so close to her house. Dr. Ahern had NO staff. He examined the cat by taking her temp. That was it. He NEVER listened to her lungs or heart. He explained that without a 160.00 blood test he didn't know what was wrong. When my mom explained that she could not afford that he just gave her some antibiotics and said..."Well I don't know then...try this". When the anibotics were not helping she contacted the vets office asking what she should do. "DR." Ahern told her well keep giving them to her and leave her alone to rest. Needless to say my cat passed away. Based on her symptoms after talking to my mother and two other vets it seems the cat had Pneumonia. He would of known this if he had listened to her lungs. This however is not the worst part....when my mother took the cat back there to drop her off for cremation services he proceeded to take my cat out of her box by her back legs like a dead rabbit. This is in FRONT of my mother at the front desk of the clinic. He then put her in a bag and sqeezed out the air in front of her. Spun the bag around and tied it like a trash bag and then put her in the freezer that he has right by the front door. This story to me was more that i could even understand. I work with animals every day and was blown away by the lack of care and information. As well as his very brutal display of lack of sympathy for a grieving pet owner. Please if you value your pets in anyway do NOT go to this place.

Dr. Ahern is the best! He is so practical and very economical. We take our dog to him and absolutely trust him without question. We would not go to any other vet.
