Excellent doctors and staff. Very friendly and always show the proper care and concern for your pets. And they are very informative and straight forward. My pup had tumors growing on her paws and they were removed with no problems and she was able to go home right away. They kept me informed every step of the way.

I have been a general practitioner for over 30 years .. I brought my own dog here from 3 hours away for her complicated surgery. I felt enormous relief to place her in such competent hands. I was very impressed with the quality of care and skill of the surgeons.

For the last year and a half, I have been bringing my dog to VSC for surgeries and check-ins. Dr. West was our surgeon and she was excellent! Dr. West and her staff have been incredible with their services and accommodations. My dog becomes overly scared during visits, which can cause him to be aggressive. This was very embarrassing for me and stressful for my dog. The staff at VSC were very understanding and went above and beyond to make us feel at ease. I would highly recommend this facility for pet owners!

Every single doctor and the entire staff just "get it"... they get the bond people have with their pets. They are extremely intelligent and compassionate at the same time. Having said that, it is absolutely the Mayo Clinic for pets. With every expert under one roof, no stone is left unturned. There is no "lax" in judgment, medical care or attention here. The doctors confer regularly and are not afraid to tell help guide you as to what level of treatment would be the best in their opinion...but they always allow you to decide and work with you accordingly. i.e. they are not out to simply grab as much money as they can...they are pro-pet only and truth be told... I would pay anything for their level of expertise 24/7. They saved my boys life in the very first visit of which my pet insurance reimbursed me 80%. So for those complaining about high costs - remember that you get what you pay for. You go there when you want the BEST in their fields and they are worth every penny so if you are strapped for cash - get pet insurance to help with those emergency costs and all others! In addition I love that they are very TAKE CHARGE, which is perfect at a time when you may feel you have no control and feel helpless! My boy has been seeing Dr. Armentano and his tech Dee for over a year to tend to his extremely long list of ailments and I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that if my boy does pass at some point, then it was simply his time to go...not because of anything that any one person did or didn't do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND - get your pet here!

We followed our dermatologist from the city when he moved to this location in buffalo grove. The review is not about the dermatologist, he is great, but about the reception staff and support staff. Their customer service is disgraceful. Everyone I have come in contact with is extremely rude and uninformed. Every time I call I get a different answer to the same questions, different instructions before appointments, and just an immense amount of attitude. I am unhappy to leave our current doctor since he is wonderful, but I cannot deal with the lack of customer service and will have to go elsewhere. His old office would call to follow up and just to check in to see how my dog is doing, now I can barely get a hold of the doctor for several days.
