We took my Jack Russell Terrier there after hearing good reviews. She had a little ear infection, and they got her all fixed up in no time! The facility was bright and clean, they fit us in at 8:45pm, and were incredibly friendly and kind. Highly recommend!

I took my pup to Metropolitan Veterinary Center after being diagnosed with a luxating patella in both hind legs. Our regular veterinarian recommended immediate surgery costing over $5k. Metropolitan Veterinary Center explained all possible outcomes if we were to pursue surgery, stem cell therapy, or a holistic approach. They also recommended X-rays to relieve any doubt which was very helpful in the decision process - even providing a digital copy of the X-ray for us to keep. The facility has great hours (nights & weekends), clean, high-tech, and even provides free parking which was easy to navigate. I'll be returning here for teeth cleaning, routine shots, and exams.

I have taken my cat, Skittle, to Metropolitan Veterinary Center a couple of times now because he is in poor health due to thyroid and kidney problems. It has been really easy to make an appointment and I have appreciated their evening hours (they are open late on weeknights as well as open on Saturdays and Sundays). They also regularly stock my cat's prescription food (I have not had to call ahead to pre-order, which has been nice). Dr. LaFave has been very gentle with Skittle and has been willing to work with me to keep costs down. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a new vet.

My Dog Bella Lola had an awful lump appear on her buttocks that another vet wanted to place her under general for ..I went to Dr LeFave who has taken care of her once before as she was with ER services 2 years..I was so happy she opened up her own place..The care from everyone at reception, to of course Dr Le Fave, was awesome. Caring, honest, genuine and most of all COMPETITIVE PRICING..her exam and yearlys are almost 50% less then what I paid in Old Town and a 100% MORE care and attention..Their hours are unreal..The deication of this entire staff is amazing and i would NOT TRUST ANY OTHER VET then this facility..So grateful they are there.. Thank you all for all you provide.

We've been seeing Dr. LaFave since we moved to Chicago a year ago. Our dog had a recurring problem late last year and we came in to see Dr. LaFave a few times. We were worried our pup would have to undergo an expensive surgery if it didn't get better, but Dr. LaFave was very compassionate and made sure to explore a few options before we had to pursue surgery. We found a solution that works so needless to say, we were relieved. Metro Vet is open everyday until 10PM, which is incredibly convenient. They have a great online pet portal system, and they also email invoices and records, making it easy to keep track of your pet's history. Each time after a visit, we receive a follow-up phone call for a status update. I once left a message with the receptionist with a question/concern for Dr. LaFave, and Dr. LaFave returned the phone call to speak with me personally. Their exam fees ($65 per visit, a bit less for a follow up) and most of their services are comparable for the area. My dog did have a minor eye infection that I brought her in for once, and the cornea scratch test and eyedrops were way more expensive than I anticipated. That was the only time I've ever been shocked by the price of my visit. A minor complaint is that I almost always have to wait when I come in, even when I have an appointment. Luckily they have a ton of fun dog photography books and magazines in the lobby for us to flip through.
