We have been going to Uptown for almost 13 years. We love the care and service given by Dr. Dickies. The staff is also great. Over the years (a time or two) we tried a place that was closer/more convenient, but our experiences there paled in comparison to what Uptown offered in the way of good/honest service and a ton of compassion. I'll never go anywhere else now. Zero complaints, only praise for Dr. Dickies.

I've taken my boxer here for the past 7 years, and I'd never go anywhere else. My vet, Dr. Dickes, is awesome and the staff is friendly. No complaints.

I was a loyal customer of theirs for over 30 years when their original owner John was there. He treated you like family 7 months ago I came in with an emergency John was out of town and some other idiot there would not work on my dog because it was lunch time. He suggested I find another that that wasn't on lunch. She required 12 stitches in her side because of an accident. She was bleeding profusely and because it was lunch time they wouldn't even look at the dog. Since the new owners have taken over this once fabulous Animal Hospital has gone to shit. I had to run my dog to the another vet. I ran frantically to another hospital great Heal Animal Hospital on Rockwell and irving, when I got there they ran to my car and carried my dog in. operating on her within 5 minutes of arriving. I will never recommend uptown Animal Hospital to anyone ever....!!!! If you need a loving caring veterinarian see Dr lendini at Heal..

My pour dog has been through hell and back. He started loosing his hair and was constantly itching; I cannot tell you how many vets we took him to. We spent so much money with several visits to the different vets and so much medicine only to see him get worse. Moved to Chicago and took him to Uptown Animal Hospital and in one visit they determined the problem and he is one happy puppy after many years of being uncomfortable. Not only did they fix him quick, they allowed us to make hassle free payments, no interest and no hassling each month for an amount. Hell, they never asked for a specific amount, just that we pay something. I will never go to another vet again! Thanks Uptown Animal Hospital for being so good to my dog and me!!!!

I love taking my dachshund here. I found Uptown while living in Rogers Park, but I have since moved to the West Loop. It's a pain in the rear to get him here, but I refuse to change. Dr. Whistler is outstanding. The pride he takes in his exams, and the way he never rushes us is fact alone to stay here. Da Vinci has some major allergy issues, and thanks to Dr. Whistler - I'm able to keep it under control. When comparing their med. prices to other outlets, they are very fairly priced too. Everyone is always friendly. I've had nothing but the best experiences coming here. And will continue to do so. Thanks!
