Dr. Mowry and the entire staff at Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic are the best!! They are so kind and comforting not only to my precious 13 year old kitty, but also to me when I was worried about a medical procedure he had to have. They called every day for a week to check in on how he was recovering and patiently answered all of my crazy cat lady questions. Their prices are great, and they let me know up front what things would cost, and they gave me options about what needed to be done right away and what can wait. They also have flexible hours evening and weekend hours and free parking. I would strongly recommend them to anyone with a furry friend.

I discovered Wicker Park Veterinary Clinic when my 15 year old large breed dog was in his last months. I WISH I had found them sooner. Having had dogs since the mid 1990s, I've traveled extensively with them which has given me a tremendous amount of experience with veterinarians across the country. Dr. Cohen and his staff are among the most caring and giving people that I have ever run across. My dog has since passed however I now have a german shepherd puppy and as long as I am in the Chicago area I will be coming back to Dr. Cohen for all of my dog's needs. I cannot recommend them highly enough. As someone who has been through it all with various veterinarians I am thankful to have found this gem right here in Chicago. We met Dr. Cohen under pretty unfortunate circumstances - our 9 year old cat lost a lot of weight very rapidly and was clearly sick. After about three terrible weeks we had to put our cat down. Dr. Cohen was incredible throughout the entire process. Dr. Cohen referred us to another vet for some of the testing and emergency services we needed. The second vet was very clinical and constantly pushed for more and more procedures on our cat who was not getting better and was very stressed. We kept in touch and got second opinions from Dr. Cohen the entire time and his guidance was priceless. Dr. Cohen kept our expectations realistic and guided us through a very difficult decision. I know we made the right decision and I'm glad that when we did finally have to put our cat down, that we did it with Dr. Cohen's assistance. Afterwards, Dr. Cohen and Rachel at the front desk sent a really lovely card. I highly recommend Dr. Cohen and Wicker Park Vet.

We took our new rescue to another vet clinic and had a mediocre experience. We were recommended to check out wicker park veterinary clinic, which is walking distance from our home, so we took our pup there to get some shots. Dr. Mowry was great and spent time talking to us about any questions we had as new dog owners. She also got down on the ground with our pup which put him at ease. No tables here! We loved our experience from the staff to the doctor and will definitely be returning.

My 10 year old cat had feline mammary cancer three years ago, for which she had two major surgeries, and I recently moved to this area from another state so I spent a long time looking for a good place to bring her. They did a wonderful job here of checking her thoroughly for any signs of cancer and offering preventative measures to take. I recently adopted a second cat, and Dr. Mowry was very thorough in helping my husband and I figure out how to treat and manage several health problems he had. They always call to follow up on treatments. I highly recommend this clinic and Dr. Mowry.
