I went to this vet because I thought the wellness plan might be good for my cat, she is 14. she was losing weight and I was worried I took her in and the nurse went over things they would do, so I was ok with it. I also asked for her nails to be clipped, never has my cat ever meowed or acted like she did when getting her nails clipped, I couldn't figure it out. the blood was drawn and my cat was given back she was so unhappy. The dr came in saw her leg was swelled (which has never happened before either after a blood draw) the Dr. didn't even check her out from head to toe she barely touched her. I was even helping open my cats mouth to make sure she would see all her teeth. she than looked over the test results and said everything is normal. left the room came back and said no her thyroid levels is off usually the printout says abnormal. I thought wow this dr. relies on a machine to say abnormal shouldn't she have caught it when she looked at the #. she didn't go over any meds with me as an option just said put her on this prescription cat food first. I explained how I had other cats and this might be challenge to keep everyone away from that food she said its ok if the other cats eat it. I don't feel right with my other cats with no thyroid issues ok to eat that food so I tired my best to keep them away but they would swap bowls. I called the vet explained what was going on and that now my cat wasn't really wanting to eat it and having problems going poop. they said bring her in, I got upset because when i was at the vet they said the wellness plain wasn't beneficial to her because she was older an wouldn't utilize it so i went with their advise and here I am not even a week later having to pay another $40 plus what ever it cost for the rest of the visit. I asked if the dr could talk to me about meds but she was not in for another 3 days you would think the dr that was there could pull her records and talk to me. NOPE. meanwhile my cat is going untreated now because I have to wait another 2 days for the dr that saw her to be there, she wont eat that food. oh I also found out why my cat was so upset the nurse was new and pretty much didn't know what they were doing. shouldn't have people that don't know what their doing handle the animal they should have already got this training in school. NOT happy with this place at all so now i have to get my records and upset my cat some more by taking her in somewhere else. you would think vets would want to minimize the pets visits if they get that worked up going and are older like her. I defiantly will pay for a 2nd opinion now.

I would not recommend this animal hospital to anyone. I took my cat here because he had a fever, and basically all they would tell me is that he had a fever. they did not examine my cat, or give me any helpful advice, all they would say was to get blood work for 200 dollars. I left and went to Animal Welfare League, where they did a full exam and gave my cat antibiotics without pushing for blood work for a reasonable price. So 40 bucks to see my cat has a fever at banfield vs. 60 to get a full exam and medicine at animal welfare.I wouldn't go back to Banfield again.

I love this place...the staff are all extremely nice. The doctor is very nice. You always get a call to remind you of your pets appointment so you don't miss it. I always get a call back to see how my pet is doing. They all know my dogs by name as soon as we walk in. Their prices are very reasonable. I would recommend this Pet Hospital.
