I remember taking our dog to the old Burr Ridge Vet Clinic on Rt. 83 and thinking it was fine. I moved to Wisconsin for a few years and had an excellent vet there who allowed my cat to become acclimated to the room before examining him and always performed a thorough wellness exam. My recent experience at Burr Ridge was pretty disappointing, compared to what I had gotten used to. First, the receptionists had lost the full medical file that I had asked to be sent to them from my old clinic (I know it was sent because I received my copy of it). We came into the room and my cat was immediately given a preliminary exam by the tech. The vet came in shortly afterward and gave a pretty sloppy and quick exam in my opinion, which did not include a flea check or much interest in his history. I found her to be less than satisfactory in her knowledge as well when I questioned her about routine care and vaccinations. But what really was the deciding factor was that my cat was pretty traumatized by the experience. He is normally an extremely confident and outgoing cat, even in new environments. At the end of my visit to the Burr Ridge clinic, I had to pull him out of the corner he had backed into because he was scared and completely unhappy. He had no trouble getting into his carrier to go home after that. I've already started looking at other clinics for next year's visit.

I was very disappointed with my old vet and decided to get my dog treated at burr ridge. We LOVED it! The new place is beautiful and they were all so friendly and extremely concerned about her. The old place couldn't treat her and wanted me to see a specialist but burr ridge was able to help. I'm hoping the treatments work out great for my dogs sake and for mine. The vet we were supposed to see was absent so we saw a sub vet and she was AMAZING! She called me and sent me some more information in the mail just two days later. I just hope the regular vet will be just as amazing.

Burr Ridge Vet is wonderful. You can rest assured that your pet will be in good hands at Burr Ridge Vet. The doctors and staff are knowledgable and loving towards the animals. My dog loves everybody at Burr Ridge Vet!
