I have looked for the best vet in the area and I found him. I've been going to Ken Eisenberg for almost 15 years--first with my cats, and then the past five years with my dogs. I've also had many rats. He's good with odd animals. He knows rats, and he knows birds. Most vets think about a procedure that will solve all problems, or a procedure that costs the least. Dr. Eisenberg thinks about what's the procedure that makes the most sense. Sometimes it doesn't make sense to run all the tests, because whether it's problem A or problem B, the solution is going to be about the same. So in that case, he won't run all the tests. And then other times he knows it is the time to be aggressive and run all the tests. He thinks logically through solving the problem. He's a great diagnostician. For example, I took my oldest dog Daisy to Dr. Eisenberg. She came from the pet store with a clean bill of health, but Dr. Eisenberg thought she looked sleepy and lackadaisical. And he was right. We decided to run the tests and he found that she was in the early stages of heart worm. He said it had to be addressed right away and to bring Daisy back immediately. He was quick on the trigger with that. And then other times I've been there with health problems for my animals, and he said it wasn't a big deal, and to just give it some time.

I have used this practice for over 8 years. I had previously worked as a tech in Houston at a similar sized practice. This is more of a family practice where you will get to know a Dr. and develop a relationship. We brought my wife's dog here for a second opinion and not only was his overall procedure lower in cost Dr. Murnighan diagnosed what the specialist clinic had missed completely. Dr. Murnighan helped us all the way through the treatment including giving a shot at his house, taking Toby into the clinic himself to save us a drive and dropping meds off at our house. I still drive to DG from Oak Park just to keep with this practice.

I called last week to make an appointment to have my daughter's guinea pig's nails clipped. I gave the person my information including phone number, and was told my appointment was today at 3pm. When I never received a confirmation call, I called today to follow up before coming in. I was told that the receptionist entered my phone number wrong and told me the incorrect date for the appointment. They "tried" to call me yesterday, but obviously when you enter the wrong number when inputting data, you cannot call your customer back. AMAZINGLY they did enter my credit card number correctly and told me when I called today that I was charged for a missed appointment---their mistake, and not only was I charged but it was for the amount of 59 dollars instead of the 17 I was quoted as the appointment would be. I was never told of this "policy" when I called and they were not authorized to charge my card. Even though it was their mistake they are not willing to work with me!! It was going to be a five minute in and out appointment with a tech! Not even with one of the doctors. I am now going to spread the word of their fraud and report them to my bank and BBB as well.

Love this clinic!!!! I wish I had found them earlier. I brought my puppy in yesterday and the experience was so much different than the "doc in the box" place I had been going to. From the front desk, to the assistants, to Dr. Murnighan, my visit was top notch. They listened to all my questions. I never felt rushed and the prices were very reasonable. I highly recommend this clinic.

The staff and Dr. Quigley were so kind to my wife and I. We made about 5 visits for our sick pet hedgehog and every time they were so kind, on one occasion scheduling us in same day within 2 hours for an emergent apt. Sadly we had to put him to sleep. Dr. Quigley sent us a sympathy card later that week. Despite the losing our little one, we the best experience we could've with them.
