Everyone was courteous and polite, don't get me wrong. However, the only reason I brought my dog to Banfield was because he was a very difficult dog to handle at the vet and I was recommended to Dr Sara specifically by a very close friend who has had to use Dr Sara a lot for her farm animals. Leo and I went to see her twice. She was awesome. The third time we went, she was no longer employeed there. I should have called first. I should have left...I had a really funny feeling about allowing anyone else to handle my baby, but we were already there and I didn't want to drag him out again. He was in PERFECT health. We even had blood drawn as he was 8 years old. I'm a lab tech. I know his numbers were all good-I understand this stuff. But when I took Leo home that day after his appointment, he was never the same again. It was as though he never came completely out of his sedation. He never ate again. I took him to a different vet and we drew blood again. His liver was shutting down. Within a month of his appt at Banfield, he was dead. I don't know what these people did to him, but I hold them completely responsible for killing my dog and I would sue them for the emotional trauma they've caused my family if I could. I will never forgive them, and whomever is responsible I curse their head.
this is the St. Francis of Pet hospitals. Their quality and service is on par with what I expect from human hospitals. Great staff, and a great Doctors. They are very knowledgeable and extremely motivated at finding what's wrong with your pet and fixing it. Brought a cat in because he was wasn't eating or drinking. He had a fever and Banfield put him on an IV for dehydration which perked him right back up. They wanted to find the cause of the fever so they ran every test from urine to blood to determine the infection so they can treat it and prevent it from happening again. They are a well supplied facility with operating table, and X-Ray. To top it off, they called the next day to ask how my pet was doing and if he was doing ok on the medication. I don't even get a follow-up call from my own doctor! yet my cat does :) Don't be too shocked if you end up paying $$$ for surgical or x-ray or major urine and blood analysis. For quality this good its worth every bit of it.
